This is a must win game for them.

The Cleveland series is going to be brutal.   All 5 of the Guardian starters would easily be the 2nd best starter on the Tigers.  It's going to be an uphill battle for the offense to score many runs in the Cleveland series.  They can't keep screwing around and playing like a team full of Jim Walewanders.

So much for the idea that Harris is asleep at the switch and would never DFA one of his guys for fear of losing face.

He traded for two of the worst starters in the league.  Maybe not asleep at the wheel but definitely missing turns to get to where he needs to go.

I know some posters venerate Harris, but other than the bullpen, Torres, and Flaherty, every player that has contributed over the last two years have been Avila's draft picks.  I don't want him fired, but i don't see him as some moracle worker turning the franchise around, more that he was extremely fortunate the players that were in the organization when he was hired took a step forward in the last few years.

It looks almost like Harris decided this year wasn't a priority and he is banking everything on the next batch of players working out.  It's frustrating as a fan to watch the GM not really try to improve the team.

I really hate Morton didn’t work out. It sucks for him and the Tigers.

Ditto. I liked the move at the time, given his post season track record and relationship with AJ. He's had a nice career

teams seem to have figured out the Tigers system for scouting their pitchers because whatever secret sauce they were giving hitters to prep them in the first half of the season isn't working anymore. They aren't hitting anyone.

This is the opposit of last year. Honestly this is worse then the year we set the record for losses. Having hope stolen sucks.

Much more fun cheering for wins than hoping Houston or whoever loses.

I sometimes wonder if this bad luck is because Comerica Park is built on an Indian burial ground but the entire Midwest is one big Indian burial ground anyway. So that’s a dumb idea.
