No Tigers game today. Lions today, Tigers tomorrow.

MWG opening the game thread is what the Tigers need to snap out of their long funk.

Hinch and Harris recognize MWG from the games.  They sought him out for this favor.

We took the SS Badger across the lake one time and it was a fun trip. Highly recommend for anyone. The bingo was intense and a riot!

We did the same trip.  Its a fun trip.

Oh that's right! Should be in Mich in time for 2nd half of Lions game

I've got a 930pm softball game tonight, during the second half of the Lions game, but at least I'm not missing the Skubal start tonight. Nope, that will be tomorrow night because I committed to a September 23 Mets-Cubs game with a friend. </grrrr>

The past 18 games Cleveland pitchers have given up 28 runs, best in MLB. Cubs are next at 65. Detroit, 93.

Damn, it's an historic live ball span for Cleveland.

Cleveland deserves a lot of credit too.

They could have easily packed it in.  What, they’ve won 14 of 16?  So they were 69-70 when this started.  It’s kind of, from a macro perspective, similar to what the Tigers did last season.  They aren’t doing it in the exact same way with pitching chaos.  But while we naturally look at it from Detroit’s perspective, they certainly deserve recognition.

I remember last year having discussions expressing support for the Tigers being just as responsible as the leaders for falling back.

I have a direct comp.  I took the ferry from the south of England (I dunno, maybe Bournemouth) to Cherburg.   Slightly longer.  My buddy and I stood on the railing watching the Normandy coast as we aproached like we were landing at Omaha Beach (this was much less violent).  The Badger had bingo.  :--)

They moved Skoob up a day so he can pitch another game in the playoff drive ...of course, it throws things off when we do make the playoffs...or if your Gil Thorp, the playdowns

Getting there in the first place has to be the highest priory. We need Skubal for both games -6 and -1 more than we do for game -5 and the first game of a wild card series we may never even reach.
