It's gotten to the point amongst the national talking heads that if they were to start talking up Goff, I'd get nervous and uncomfortable. Heading home yesterday, I was listening to Steven A. go on and on about how the Ravens defense was terrible. I'm just smiling and thinking "you just can't give credit to Lions offense and Goff can you?". Hell, Mayfield gets more credit! Whatever, would rather have underrated guys than overrated guys. 1 Quote

Then we have road games @ the Rams and @ Washington. As well as @ the Chiefs. Any of those games could be losses. But after beating Baltimore, I like our chances in those games more than I did last week. Quote

But the Baltimore defense may be highly over-rated. Living on their past reputation. Look at their game in Buffalo. Not many teams lose when they score 40 points. And Detroit exposed their weaknesses. Detroit (and Buffalo) have top 5 offenses but the Baltimore defense is no longer dominating. 1 Quote

It doesn't take much to degrade an NFL D when you lose a couple key cogs. 2 Quote

Jimbo Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Hence us last year. As a human being, I never want to see anybody get hurt although after what we went through last year my sympathy is almost null. I am going to the Cincy game and I have mixed feelings about Burrow being hurt. On one hand, I am really bummed because when you go to games you kind of want to see all the stars on the other side. On the other hand it makes winning that game a lot more easy. No one wants to pay a lot of money and go to game your team loses 17 hours ago, romad1 said: It doesn't take much to degrade an NFL D when you lose a couple key cogs. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted September 25 Posted September 25 No letdown on Cleveland. They just beat Green Bay. I'm sure Campbell will have his guys ready. In the NFL, every team is dangerous, this game is a must win. Every game is a must win...😅 Quote

Motown Bombers Posted September 26 Posted September 26 The Ravens held Buffalo to 25 points until 4 minutes left in the game. They controlled that game until the end. This game against the Lions, the Lions were really in control for most of it. Quote

I'd say I was more pleasantly surprised about the defense, afraid going in that Lamar would run rampant. Instead, I think the 30 points flatters the Ravens offense. They wouldn't have had the 7 points right before halftime if the Lions had simply run out the clock, and then there was a garbage time TD with like 20 seconds to go. After the very 1st Baltimore drive of the game, the Lions defense really stepped up. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted September 27 Posted September 27 The Cleveland defense has me a bit worried. Im sure MCDC won't let his team look past them. He should have the Lions ready to play and I'm sure the fans will help them. Beating Baltimore may give the team a huge confidence boost. Bigly... Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Normally this would be the absolute definition of a TRAP game, but because Cleveland stunned Green Bay last week, there's probably no overlooking going on. Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I really hope Carson Wentz is still the Vikings QB by the time the Lions play them. I have my doubts. He's TERRIBLE Quote
RandyMarsh Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Well we got Johnathan "Deion Branch" Vilma on commentary again this week. Quote
