Now, It's Rob's job to turn the Tigers around.  It's not over until Biff starts the game thread.

Just sharing my bsky here since it answers the question.

Maybe it's worth remembering that it was grit that the Tigers won with last year and the first part of this year, and not so much talent.

FanGraphs still has the Tigers at 80% probability to make the playoffs!

There's no such thing as momentum at FanGraphs!

We're going to go out and find some former members and offer them a 1 day contract to do a game thread and then retire a MTS member.

I’m on deck for tomorrow’s game then I guess. Tonight’s games will determine the picture I use.

Funny enough, I ran into ewe a few weeks ago. He had asked about some of the old members. He asked about a guy who used to frequent the Red Wings forum. His user name started with a V but it slips my mind at the moment.

Vasteras?  That was Nick Lidstrom's hometown. He was a huge fan of his.  I am friends with him on FB but he doesn't appear to be active.  He gets tagged by family though so he's around still.

It is all sorts of ridiculous how the paths of two consecutive seasons have been seemingly so opposite of each other.

If they win the next two games, they are basically a shoo in.  Up by 2 in the division and up by ar least 1 with the tie breaker against the Astros.

If that fails, they still can go in and beat Boston.  They are 1 game behind them.

But they're not going to make it.  I wouldn't be shocked if they lose the last 5 to close out the season.

A possibility. In which case the 2025 Tigers would also have "blown a big lead" versus the 2024 Tigers. The 2024 Tigers were 55-63 after 118 games; the 2025 Tigers were 67-51 after 118 games, or 12 games better than 2024. The 2024 Tigers finished 86-76 and the 2025 Tigers need to go 1-4 to tie that, 2-3 or better to beat that.

Yes! He disappeared around the time we moved the first time.
