I have seen the future and, spoiler alert, we’ll finish this season with 86 wins.

Would have been a solid outcome prior to this season, but an utter disaster now.

I am looking at the future now. 88 wins, final WC spot. Also I see Burger Chef returning in 2028.

In a certain sense it sounds reasonably achievable. If we can manage to win the last two from the Guardians, then any combination of two Tigers wins/Guardians losses in the final series of the season gives us the division.

The tricky part is winning the last two against Cleveland. yes, it looks really unlikely, but it's not impossible. First things first: win tonight.

Somehow me betting on Cleveland to win didn’t guarantee a Detroit victory last night.  First bet I’ve won in months.  I’ve doubled down and put everything on Cleveland again.  If it doesn’t work, then there’s foul play afoot.

That's horrible. He stood in front of the plate and tried to bunt that ball. It was off his bat and hit his face. Not Skubal's fault but he's still a stand up guy to visit and make sure he's OK.

Earl Weaver had an amazing staff in Baltimore.

Have you ever heard the Earl Weaver rants?  You can find some on YouTube. They are pretty funny.  There's one on a show called the manager's corner that is the best ever

Im hoping for a normal loss tonight and not something heartbreaking.    A typical 7-0 drubbing with 5 hits and 5 RISP stranded instead of a late inning bully explosion or a bunt a palooza like last night.

The rain delay is going throw the Guardians off their game and destroy their momentum.  The Tigers have nothing to lose here.

I wish MLB TV still had the option to just listen to crowd noise. I take this all way too seriously, and boosterism or lamentations are both what I’m not looking for at a time like this. I would just like to see the game and hear the crowd, even if it’s in an opposing ballpark.
