I’ve been reading some Jets fans posts and they are roasting Glenn. They’re pointing out the Lions defense is better without him. Glenn keeps falling back on the Lions started 0-10-1 but they keep saying he’s no Dan Campbell.

It’s also nice to step back and reflect that fans of other teams are envious of the Lions and want to emulate their coaching staff.

Are they ignoring the fact that the Lions were using practice squad and waived players on defense last season and still won 15 games? Somebody should educate them. The Jets talent level doesn't compare to even the Lions 3rd stringers.

LOL - Lions beat a 5-1 team without the outcome even being at doubt at any time in the 4th quarter and we're firing assistants over game strategy?  Tough crowd.

It's just the same poster who complains....every single game. SMH

Us messageboard people know more about football than Dan Campbell!

Just got home and didn’t realize he broke his collarbone. Damn.

Evans has been one of my favorite receivers for several years. I've won 2 fantasy championship with him as my receiver1. A sure, no doubt about it, hall of famer.

I don't follow soccer so I can't include them, but something about football seems to bring out the crazy in people more than other sports. Part of the fun for the rest of us. 🫠

Glenn is talking about the 2021 Lions and to be patient. This Jets team should be better than that Lions team. The Jets look poorly coached, players are starting to get into it with Glenn, and he’s been hostile with the media.

Do Lion fans think Shepard is a better DC than Glenn? If so, he'll be poached pretty soon.

yeah - we laugh about Campbell being a goof, or a guy that likes to 'hide his light', but being entertaining and being able to roll with the losses was no small part of what bought him time at the beginning. There were a lot ways that Campbell was the perfect coach for the Lions when he got here. Not many hires are going to be that kind of match.

It's not just the complaints...

It's the stupidity of the complaints.

Agreed. Constant complaining ruins the game for others. It got much more enjoyable once I utilized the ignore option.

I complained about Glenn back in 2022. I didn't necessarily want him fired back then, but I did feel that Aubrey Pleasant got scapegoated for a lot of Glenn's defensive breakdowns and coaching mishaps. Glenn's risking being a one and done in New York if he doesn't get a win here soon. His team looks like they are immature and undisciplined. He looks the same way as a Head Coach. As bad as the early Lions teams were under Campbell, I don't think you could say those things about Campbell or his team. It was simply an issue of talent on the field.

IDK, all that talent Holmes brought in would make a lot of head coaches look much, much better. I think MCDC is a damn fine coach who will eventually get us into a Super Bowl but he's just like a lot of top coaches, he'll need some health luck.

This was an exciting game to watch. I’m glad it was a nationally televised broadcast and not something on FOX which never allows me to watch the Lions unless they’re playing someone on the West Coast.

And when they play the Rams later this season, I’m still not sure I’ll be allowed to watch the game and NFL games in general don’t mean enough to me to buy Sunday ticket so I can do it.

Sunday Ticket is crazy expensive. I bought the Baseball package around mother's day and it was $69. Last I checked, Sunday Ticket was around $300. No way....

Going outside has some drawbacks. Being forced out of bounds stops the clock or staying inbounds and getting slammed by a linebacker. I'm fine with the calls, a 2 score lead with them getting the ball back under 1 minute? It was over the second Tampa turned it over on downs. And I agree with MCDC, I'll never complain about winning. Or apologize.

I agree, but in that case just take a knee. There is a reluctance on teams’ parts to kneel unless it runs the clock down to zero. But a little plunge up the middle is conceding you’re not even trying for a first down but still has a small fumble, penalty or injury risk. The last Montgomery run with under a minute had players clutching, grabbing and twisting for about 3 seconds. Completely unnecessary,  no good was going to come out of that, you’re simply hoping for nothing bad to happen.

Gibbs is on pace for 253 carries. He had 250 last year.

Well ****. Looks like he’s on pace to play fewer snaps too. Never mind.

The defense is better without Glenn, no doubt. Still not sold on offense. Stats are mostly there, but they just don’t seem as versatile. It’s mostly coming from 3 guys.

They have been a little out of sync but are still third in NFL in PPG. A big part of this, I think, is the Decker injury. Even though he was back last night I think he had two penalties and gave up at least one sack. Hopefully he can get right over the bye.
