It's frustrating It will be even more frustrating if the IOL gets healthy and the offense starts clicking after it no longer matters I don't know what Glasgow's PFF grades have been, but he has felt like a weak link all year long. So I don't know, given his age and decline in play, that he would ever be clicking with this line. He's just a not that good a player at this stage on his career. It's why bringing back a Zeitler or getting a similar player in the offseason was wanted by many. That way a guy like Ratledge could have possibly taken snaps at Center or possibly rode the bench for part of the season while they tried Glasgow out. Quote

I would be shocked if he is on next year’s roster. Quote

We gave up multiple picks to move up to get a guy who's raw and a work in progress? I didn't like it at the time and even less so now. The pass catching is one thing, but his blocking is atrocious. I don't understand why they aren't in win now mode. I think the coaches are being stupid playing crappy players like Raymond and Kennedy over him and it’s indicative of a bigger issue. We hoard draft picks like they are prized possessions because the players we draft will help us win but then after spending all that draft capital we don’t even play the player. I like the fact that he caught a TD on 2 targets is some sort of vindication. Quote

I would expect the Lions to have more routes for Raymond as well as Goff having more confidence in a receiver he's known for years over a rookie he's only known for months. I repeat, the Lions are lucky to have TeSlaa. Calm down, you aren’t a professional. You are on a message board like the rest of us. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago They said from the beginning Teslaa was a project and would not play a lot the first year. 1 Quote

People want the line to get younger but don't actually want to play young players. Quote

It's just some people can't seem to understand why a rookie #3 receiver isn't taking #1 receiver routes. Or why there aren't multiple routes called for him. Or even why a veteran QB isnt on the same page after 4 or 5 months with a rookie. But yeah, he's a bust and Brad is an idiot for drafting him? No, like I said, we're lucky to have him. Quote
TP_Fan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The lions haven’t led in regulation since st browns trump dance. Then he has all the drops and gets injured. ****ing guy cursed himself and the team. 1 Quote

Graham didn't look great last year, but was held up by guys like Ragnow and Zeitler on the interior. Now, it seems he just isn't that good as an interior lineman any longer. I wanted both Zietler (which they didn't get) and a draft pick (which they got in Ratledge) as insurance policies for a drop off in play from Glasgow. I know I was not alone in wanting them to bring back Zeitler or bring in a replacement level guard AND go out and draft someone at the interior of the offensive line. Quote
RatkoVarda Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago something else that needs to be fixed. after hitting gold in 2021-23 drafts, the 2024 and 2025 drafts are looking rough for Brad traded up to get Arnold - plenty of 2nd round CBs look to be equal if not better than him so far Rakestraw, showed nothing in small doses when not injured traded up for Manu and then traded up for Vaki - LOL! Why??? Wingo is too small for what Dan, Glenn and now Shep want on the DL so he never plays Mahongany - best pick Williams - outplayed by other DTs picked much later so far traded up for Ratledge - A+ traded up for TeSlaa, again, trading up for a project who would have been there when you picked traded up for Fraizer - loved him in SEC, not healthy, but this guy is going to contribute something next year Hassen - come on, really? Jackson and Lovett - whatever. the reason Brad does not want to give up picks in trades at the deadline, is because he either already has or is planning to use them in the draft, when he trades up to get "his" guys, like Brodic Martin Quote

Glasgow wasn't even projected to be a starter. Mahogany was replacing Glasgow and Ratledge replacing Zeitler. They don't have the cap space for expensive insurance policies. Zeitler has also declined this year. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago It’s hard not to blame coaching to some extent. Obviously there are the offensive problems, but even that has to fall at the feet of the people who hired those people. With the amount of talent on this team, it’s inexcusable to be 7-5. It’s even worse to be 1-3 in the division. Bumps in the road are okay, and are going to happen. Sometimes you’ll lose games like yesterday when the officials decide to acknowledge the opponent’s timeouts a second early but not your own challenge a second late. NFL games are too competitive to lose as many as 11 points due to uncontrollable elements. But you can’t allow them to snowball. And it sure feels like they are, despite managing to not lose two in a row all this time. Quote
