Of course, today enough native born Americans do the same that we have little grounds to criticize anymore..... There are going to be crazy politics/politicians on both sides for the foreseeable future because voters all over American are apparently suffering some kind of early onset dementia. Beats me what can be done about it. Send everyone back through a proper K-12 again? Edited June 24 by gehringer_2 Quote

romad1 Posted June 24 Posted June 24 A rising tide lifts all boats was a line the CNN designated GOP guy was saying on my TV last night. I guess he will see that in November. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Everyone who votes for John James can’t be doing it out of racism because James is black. Quote
pfife Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Some that email him with 'funny' emails relentlessly (helps win the house) definitely show their racism in this forum Quote
pfife Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Also for the record i am totally fine disagreeing with the prognosis from "REPUBLICANS against Trump" on how Democrats can win the house. Im not at all interested GOP-lite. Quote

Trump would have been elected in 2020 and we'd probably have a Democrat now, because everything would have been pushed back four years. Except Kamala would still be an anonymous regional pol, and Trump might have truly died by 2028, rather than the best doctors in the world propping up the rotting living corpse. Quote

Yeah. - it is a bit of thing on the part of anti-trumpet repubs - they really only like tame democrats who are not a big risk to actually create serious economic change. There are probably better reasons not to be thrilled with some of these folks but it's their economic message where the traction is with voters and even friendly repubs are scrared of that. A lot of the traditional GOP doesn't like Trump but they still don't want to hear the truth that the US has a failed economic system. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted June 24 Posted June 24 (edited) Your condescension is amusing. If you don't think it's money- who has it and who gets it that makes American politics run you are the naive one. Everything else, including any racist glosses, is the window dressing for it. Edited June 24 by gehringer_2 Quote

Why you think those white kids are radicalized, it's because their sense of justice is insulted, sure by Gaza, but also by Elon Musk, Bezos, AI, and the fact that their college degree are devalued. It's ALWAYS been the young middle/upper class kids who have wanted to overthrow the 'system' in all its features, economic, social et al. Who do think populated Haight-Ashbury and went to Woodstock and 'supported' Che Guevara. None of this is new. If you want young progressives to be less looney, give them something better to support than the gerontocracy that got us where we are today. Edited June 24 by gehringer_2 Quote
