Bears had a good run. Only time will tell if their FO is going to keep young talent coming in. Ben Johnson will be a good play caller no matter what. Also time will tell if he can split his focus and keep the team together and focused.

Come on, **** off New England. They have a 15 year, multi-Super Bowl run with Tom Brady and now they're likely going back in less than a decade. Meanwhile, we're sitting at home not even in the playoffs yet again. Some fans have it sooooooooooo good. Unbelievable.

yeah - Pretty good when your old management takes Brady, then a generation later it turns over and your new management  picks Maye, another big drop back passer who is already at top of the stat sheets in his 2nd yr.

14 quarters, yuck? Cherry-picked stats are no bueno.

Curious if we think he is the reason the Lions lost in the NFC championship game. I can’t say that. I missed the Washington game, was busy getting engaged overseas and then didn’t bother watching once I knew the outcome.

This Bears team played above their heads all season. They are totally due for a regression. But he did a great job of making a running game out of this garbage OL and mid RBs.  He made Caleb Williams look serviceable.

The Lions would have ran away with the division if he was still here. I just don’t get the hate.

i’m also glad he’s not our HC. I think his shtick is going to wear thin quickly.

I have no love for the Bears but I really don't want to see the Rams win a second Super Bowl with Stafford before we get to one with Goff.

I’d rather that than the Seahawks or Patriots.

I don’t hate Ben. I’m indifferent to him now. But I agree that with his villain schtick he is going to fall hard.

His departure turns out to have been a devastating loss. It didn’t necessarily have to be but Dan/Brad did not take his departure seriously enough. With a competent OC, I have no doubt Detroit would have won one or two more games and squeaked into the playoffs where they would have had a chance against a weak field.

It feels like Ben is on the trajectory of Brian Daboll. Next big thing offensively, but not a great game manager or people person. Daboll went 9-7-1 with a playoff win, then 6-11, then 3-14, then 2-8 and fired.

Johnson may not go 3-14 in two years, but I think below 0.500 sounds right for the Bears next season.

Now watch the Bills hire Daboll back.

ben johnson took a heel turn awfully quickly.  i dont know if he's on the daboll path but it wouldnt surprise me.  the bears have more talent than those giants teams so it probably wont happen.  otoh, the central is a harder division than the nfc least.

depends on how you feel about caleb and this bears team.  he's great outside the pocket and not great in it.  if you keep him in there, he'll make a mistake.

bears fans will learn what lions fans learned this year: progress is not always linear.  its a week to week league.  i doubt the bears are as lucky next year as they were this year.

Just take a look at that "hot 2024 darling team in D-C". Plus their schedule will probably be a bit more daunting.

Interesting to see that all the mobile QBs have been eliminated from the playoffs this year. All the people who want to run Goff out of town for a more mobile QB I guess don't want to have their team still in the playoffs. Granted, I wanted to run Stafford out of town once upon a time and for that I was WRONG!

I am 100% for Seattle now.

It hurts to see that the New England Patriots went from a stray Super Bowl in the 80s, to the worst team to a dynasty to the worst team and maybe back to a Super Bowl    while we get nothing

I can't handle the thought of Stafford winning TWO rings after leaving us.

And I just don't like the Broncos.

So go Seahawks.

They've been a sneaky great team.   I guess tucked away in the NW corner gets you ignored, eh?

Caleb scares me. He will make a few throws that are now where close to the receiver, and then complete an off platform throw that only a 2-3 guys in the league can make. He seems like the exact opposite of Goff. Wonder if Ben will get tired of that if he doesn't improve in the pocket.
