What are you talking about? She was nominated at the convention in Milwaukee. It was in all the papers.

The teaching of Plato is now too woke for today's "conservatives". What's next, erasing the Sermon on the Mount from the Bible to conform with the teachings of Saint Donald

Martin Peterson, a philosophy professor at Texas A&M University, was thunderstruck when he was told on Tuesday that he needed to excise some teachings of Plato from his syllabus. It was one way, his department head wrote in an email, that Dr. Peterson’s philosophy class could comply with new policies limiting discussion of race and gender.

Days before the start of the spring semester, one of the nation’s largest public universities is racing to interpret and enforce the A&M system’s rules. Some professors are reconsidering syllabuses at the direction of administrators, or are unsure whether they will be able to lead certain classes. Course sections are being canceled or potentially reclassified, threatening students’ schedules.

I just sent this to a friend that happens to be a Philosophy professor. So far Wayne State has not deemed Plato as too woke.

Look, I like a liberal arts education as much as the next guy, but I don't think anyone is going to Texas Agricultural & Mining University for a degree in platonic philosophy, anyway.

Wild.

Unrelated, but I wonder how many people have been in a fight. I spent years bartending as a second job, so it was kind of common to see them in that environment. Instant asshole, just add alcohol, and off they go. Most of the ones who started them, shouldn't have. They couldn't beat up their sister. Just stupid.

Getting beat up hurts and is no fun. Some people like it and get a kick out of it - or they are stupid and start something they can't finish. There are bad asses and dumbasses.

Don't be the dumbass. You're welcome.

My buddy in my 20s was a fighter.  When we went out, he would look to start **** and get in fights.  It got to the point I had to stop hanging out with him.  Just not my thing at all.

He’s still a fascist though.

I mean… if cheering on those guys is your thing. Cool.  We know where you would stand in 1930s Germany.  it makes easier to sort out the good guys, especially when you blatantly tell us.  It gets easier every day.

I've known quite a few guys over the years that were badasses. But they didn't start stuff. Good thing. One did the tough man contests. He was one of those 6'2ish type guys going about 220 who was a freak of human nature. And you couldn't hurt him if you hit him with a board. Great guy, ran his own business, but a neanderthal.

Not him, but another guy I knew, was in a bar after work one night with a bunch of us. Some guy walked in, got a beer, looked around, and said; I can whip any mother(bleep)s ass in here. Guy I was sitting with says; you might be able to whip my ass but I'm not a mother(bleep) and off they went.

I'd rather just drink beer and watch the entertainment.

Assuming this actually happened and wasn’t staged for social media, they totally deserved it.

Once again I ask, Why just the 10 Commandments? Why not The Beatitudes. Aren't they supposed to be part of the New Covenant?

Nearly every public school system in Louisiana has received donated posters bearing the Ten Commandments that can be hung up in classrooms if a federal appeals court gives the go-ahead.

The Louisiana Family Forum, a conservative advocacy group that promotes “biblical principles,” raised about $40,000 to have the posters printed and delivered to all but about five of the state’s 69 school districts, said Gene Mills, the group’s president. The posters were designed by Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office and feature the biblical precepts alongside informational text and photos, including one of House Speaker Mike Johnson.

God was using Times Roman because Calibri is too woke and 10 were all that would fit and still be legible to nomads with no bifocals.

Everybody knows that.

I'm assuming that was in the Book of Numbers (that practically nobody reads or quotes)
