Didn't the old site used to ban people for being vulgar jerks?

Wow. Looking at his profile of recent posts, he posted that meme in several threads.

I wasnt being critical Sue, just trying to remember if the old site banned people.

Not shot by the cops?  Or some other variant of vigilante justice?

Funny how it always seems to work that way when the terrorist is white and Right, innit?

I literally ate sand for two years in the ME after 9/11 when I enlisted. What we fought and died for was NOT for a terrorist sympathsizer to lecture widows and survivors.

no what you fought and died for was the right of the people to govern themselves, whatever that looks like. If you don't like the public's choices, support better public education, join a civil society org and work to get to the public you want, but don't say anyone working inside the process is somehow unAmerican, they aren't. People you disagree with, even vehemently are part of what an open democratic society looks like. There will always be ugly people in the process. Mamdani is no worse than when David Duke was running for office or any of the RW wing  racist nuts you also had to fight for. You think you have it bad, what about the millions of black servicemen who came back to face Jim Crow in the South. What the hell were they fighting for?

The American public is its own responsibility and I agree we're doing a pretty lousy job at it, but the problem is in the mirror for all of us.
