That last one, I am a little surprised by. That ownership and management team must have really gone into the ****ter. Rays got 4 votes Quote

monkeytargets39 Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Wenceel to the 60 day and we picked up another waiver wire reliever. Jobe is supposed to throw live BP this week and could be back shortly after the all star break if it goes well Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Does the abscence of any news about Parker Meadows remind you of his brother? Unless I missed some recent news about him. Crickets. Same with Javy. Crickets. Is either guy coming back this year. Does it even matter anymore? Quote

Tiger337 Posted June 27 Posted June 27 According to Base Runs, the Tigers should have the 9th best record in MLB and 3rd best in the AL (behind the Yankees and Mariners). Base runs is the number of runs a team should have scored/allowed based on how many hits, walks, home runs, etc they have scored/allowed. They should be 43-39 according to base runs. A lot of it is due to sequencing and timing which is to say they have been bad a situational hitting and pitching. Whatever the reason, it has cost them 8 games. https://www.fangraphs.com/standings/pythagorean-baseruns 1 Quote

This actually gives me hope. Quote

chasfh Posted July 2 Author Posted July 2 This was shared by a Cubs fan friend of mine regarding our would-be good friend Alex Bregman. BTW, Bregman played the entire game yesterday, a 23-3 win over the Padres, and still managed to go 0-for-5. Quote

But some of us thought he wasn't worth anything close to the asking price. I wanted the Tigers to go for Bo Bichette, but then when I hear $42 million - I was like NO FREAKING WAY. How's he doing? $42 million for that, eh? Quote

casimir Posted July 3 Posted July 3 38-50 record with a +5 run differential. All of the injuries. Plenty of questionable roster and in game decisions. This season is weird. Quote

All of those 1-run losses. Injuries. Bad luck. I still won't be terribly surprised if they go on a 15-5 20 game run Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted July 3 Posted July 3 I wonder when the last time we didn't have a game scheduled for a Friday (outside of Opening Day weekends). Quote

It will count in the actual payroll as $47.5 (not the CBT Payroll) because in the actual payroll (the one the union uses to determine whether to file a grievance), the signing bonus is prorated over two years. Even that is wrong in the chart above because of the deferral. Edited July 4 by Edman85 Quote
