Byron Buxton?

Zero votes: White Sox, Rays, Orioles, Rockies, Athletics, and ... Cardinals!

That last one, I am a little surprised by. That ownership and management team must have really gone into the ****ter.

Rays got 4 votes

Oh, right. Duh-doi.

No no, please, don't help. I can figure this out. I know I can get it.

No, I insist. Please, whatever you do, don't help.

...

I got it.

Angels.

Does the abscence of any news about Parker Meadows remind you of his brother?         Unless I missed some recent news about him.     Crickets.   Same with Javy.   Crickets.     Is either guy coming back this year.      Does it even matter anymore?

this recent report says Parker hasn't had any set backs but the fracture still has not healed sufficiently for him to get get back on a field.Apparently a very messy fracture.

According to Base Runs, the Tigers should have the 9th best record in MLB and 3rd best in the AL (behind the Yankees and Mariners).  Base runs is the number of runs a team should have scored/allowed based on how many hits, walks, home runs, etc they have scored/allowed.  They should be 43-39 according to base runs.  A lot of it is due to sequencing and timing which is to say they have been bad a situational hitting and pitching.  Whatever the reason, it has cost them 8 games.

Yes, I read the bone was shattered which would certainly complicate recovery.

When the injury was originally diagnosed, it sounded like he might not play again this season.  I think we’ll see Clark sooner.

Minus 8. Yikes.

Also, 12 games under .500, one run over .500. Wild, man.

This actually gives me hope.

Me too...until the bullpen sapped it out of me again.

This was shared by a Cubs fan friend of mine regarding our would-be good friend Alex Bregman.

BTW, Bregman played the entire game yesterday, a 23-3 win over the Padres, and still managed to go 0-for-5.

We dodged a bullet there.       But some of us thought he wasn't worth anything close to the asking price.

I wanted the Tigers to go for Bo Bichette, but then when I hear $42 million -  I was like NO FREAKING WAY.   How's he doing?

$42 million for that, eh?

At least it's only for at most 2 more years. Cubs could be paying an underperforming Bregman for 4 more years.

So as much of a fluke/anomaly the comeback from .02% was, this season has been as well, only in the other direction. All of those 1-run losses. Injuries. Bad luck. I still won't be terribly surprised if they go on a 15-5 20 game run

I wonder when the last time we didn't have a game scheduled for a Friday (outside of Opening Day weekends).

Or when the team had an off day in the middle of road series with the same team. Very odd.

All because of a World Cup game sharing a parking lot. I dont think we're the only teams being affected.

37.5...

17.5 this year with a 20M fully deferred signing bonus this year paid out from 2030-39)

37.5 next year.

35 in '28 (with an opt out after '27)

and a 40M mutual option in 29 with a 5M buyout.

It will count in the actual payroll as $47.5 (not the CBT Payroll) because in the actual payroll (the one the union uses to determine whether to file a grievance), the signing bonus is prorated over two years. Even that is wrong in the chart above because of the deferral.

I figured that’s where they got the extra 10mil from
