It was already 6–0 when we got into the car and they did not score on the trip home. But now they have scored five more runs since I’ve gotten home, and it looks like they’re going to win 11–0. You can try to tell me that the Tigers are not the best team in American League right now, and I won’t believe you even for a second. I watched the 9th inning on of the Cubs on my phone with the Tigers on the TV. Pretty exciting and while PCA is really, really good, he has no chance as an MVP as long as Ohtani has a pulse. Quote

monkeytargets39 Posted August 6 Posted August 6 We are one run away from having the best run differential in the AL Quote
IdahoBert Posted August 7 Posted August 7 The mlb.tv protocol for games blacked out due to territorial considerations is that one and a half hours after the game is over it becomes available on mlb.tv so I’m watching it right now. Usually what I do is watch the innings where the Tigers score a passel of runs. And then I watch the very end. The celebration. Quote

They may or may not be. I don’t care. Allegedly the Tigers were supposed to bow out of the race after trading Skubal and Mize. I don’t care. Supposedly it doesn’t matter who wins the American League because the Dodgers are guaranteed to win the World Series. I don’t care. Just keep winning. 1 Quote

I wish they could’ve scored six runs in the top of the 9th - not for the obvious reason - but I’m happy to see the players pad their stats when it’s easy. There was some padding but not enough but oh well. Quote

We tried yesterday—smacked the ball all over the place—just right at guys too much and a great homer-robing catch by Arozarena sealed that deal. Those balls fall in at a normal rate and we would’ve won, easy. Even when we lose these days we’ve been going down swinging. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted August 7 Posted August 7 KC had a lead against the Twinkies but blew it so we don't catch Minny today. Boston came back to force extras against the Palehose but is now down two in the 10th. Quote
lordstanley Posted August 7 Posted August 7 White Sox and Red Sox tied 9-9. Look who is coming up with runners or 1st and 3rd. Jake Rogers! Quote

lordstanley Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Jahmai Jones keeps the 11th inning alive. Singles to load the bases, tied 10-10. Quote
chasfh Posted August 7 Posted August 7 (edited) Jahmai Jones just loaded the bases with an infield single. 10-10, one out, bases loaded, bottom of the 11th. And Antonacci just came in for an IF glove to be the fifth guy on the dirt. Same as what happened in the Cubs game today. And the White Sox got the second out and now Antonacci is going back out to the outfield. Same as what happened in the Cubs game today. What a wacky baseball day for Chicago this has been. chasfh Posted August 7 Posted August 7 (edited) I predict Chris Murphy walks a guy home to lose. EDIT: Or not. I can’t predict ****. Edited August 7 by chasfh Quote

Your friends don’t have to know. 😁 Edited August 7 by chasfh Quote
chasfh Posted August 7 Posted August 7 And Jake ties the game at 11 in the 12th with the sac fly. This game is officially more bonkers than the Cubs game was. 1 Quote
JackMorrisStache Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Jake doing his part to bring his former mates closer to the top of the Central. Hopefully Boston shuts the door on the Sux in the T13 and wins it in the bottom. Quote
