You don’t get to make the rules, Jughead.   He can say whatever he wants about our country.   This is America and we allow people the freedom to dissent.   Trying to silence him is about as unpatriotic as one can get.  Stop hating on our country and embarrassing your flag with your weak ass xenophobic bullshit.

Does this mean he'll get out before January 2025?     I don't like that.  Not one bit.  None of those fuckers should get out before January 21, 2025

Federal Bureau of Prisons had diagnosed Chansley with transient schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety.

Does it matter he has been diagnosed with MAJOR mental illness and he personally in fact did not commit a violent crime? What if he gets the professional medical help he needs in prison?

Yeah it matters, maybe why he didn't get 10 years.     He DID commit a violent crime.  Anyone that broke into the Capitol that day committed a violent crime.      Tired of excuses for these criminals.  He travelled there of his own free will and took part, mentally challenged or not, that's on him.   I have little to no sympathy for those who attempted to overthrow our democracy and who would have killed our representatives if they had gotten to them.   Every single one of those sons a bitches are mentally ill.  Let Trump take 'em in.  He could turn Mar-A-Lago in to a f**king hospital.

It would be nice if that's how the CJ system worked, but why should he get that when there are thousands of others also incarcerated with mental illness?

I am more speaking to the fact that a few here think he should be locked away and throw away the key. Full disclaimer he should go to prison! BUT if he in fact serves his sentence and gets on the right medication could he not become a normal citizen again? He denounced Q and Trump, it may only be for a lighter sentence but he showed remorse and did not harm anyone.

What violent act did he personally commit?

Breaking into the Capitol.   Once he went in there, it was a violent act.     Just like someone looting a CVS, even if they didn't break the windows themselves.  He had no business being in there and every single one of them who went into that building that day committed a violent act.

The law and prosecutor did not agree with that. He was only charged with "Obstructing an offical proceeding", nothing more.

And the official proceeding was the certification of our elections. Disrupting that is committing violence to our country and constitutional form of government. A mob, even if not all members are actively breaking things, still conveys the menace and threat. Many were violent, and he went along with them.

Yep, the mob was there to overthrow the election certification and topple democracy. And they came close to breaching the chamber while congress was still inside. There’s no way that can stand without serious consequences.
