Once your usefulness to him is gone he’s done with you. A Midwest farmer, member of congress, wife…. All disposable. This. He’s always been an attention whore. Plus his take on political policies was never based on any sort of principle or values learned from experience with the public’s lives. All just an opportunity to grift and bask in the limelight. 2 Quote

The first step is admitting you have a problem. That's always the hardest step (the first one). You should go see a psychiatrist. IMO. Quote

You have to actually be a former combat vet to qualify for this program. Changing mental concepts through shared experiences I am sure you would not understand. 1 Quote
romad1 Posted Saturday at 11:50 PM Posted Saturday at 11:50 PM (edited) MTG who never considers the next 3 steps, knew this was coming. As do all the GOP house and senate members. And your drunken, racist uncle at Thanksgiving knows too. Manifest it. Edited Saturday at 11:51 PM by romad1 Quote

Motown Bombers Posted yesterday at 01:20 AM Posted yesterday at 01:20 AM They are talking about gaining 60 seats in the house. That would be a huge pickup. No party will likely ever get 67 in the senate. Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted yesterday at 05:32 AM Posted yesterday at 05:32 AM (edited) People need to pump the brakes on their enthusiasm for next year. Do I think Democrats take the House back? Yes. Do I think they will have a 10-15 seat majority? Possibly. Do I think they are going to blow out Republicans and gain 50-60 seats on a single cycle? No. The country is simply too polarized for those types of wild swings we used to see in House elections of years gone by. Furthermore, Democrats aren't winning the Senate. I love Sherrod Brown. I wish Democrats ran more populist progressives like Brown across the country. But I feel Ohio is too far down the Republican rabbit hole now to win and they aren't winning it back with Sherrod Brown. I also don't think they're winning Alaska, Iowa, or Maine in the Senate. Everyone predicted Susan Collins was cooked on 2020 against Sara Gideon. Not only did she win, not only did she overperform polling expectations, she blew Sara Gideon out by over 8 points. I tend to think Collins holds on again. Mainers like her labotomized way of thinking and speaking it appears and whatever folksy charm she has to offer. Without Maine, it will be impossible to take the Senate in 2026 and very hard in 2028. Edited yesterday at 05:33 AM by Mr.TaterSalad Quote

What I’ve learned from this is that the notion of hundreds of Russian nationals at the Internet Research Agency toiling away on fake X accounts in St. Petersburg is almost certainly not accurate, since second world labor demands relatively high second world wages. Instead, the grunt work of creating and maintaining troll social media accounts surely gets farmed out to third world countries for third world wages. Quote
