I am not going to rip on the guy because he's trying his best.  He sounds a little forced, but when you hear someone else do Tigers Play-By-Play it makes you realize just how freaking good Dan Dickerson really is.    

 

Doug Fister on color commentary.............they've had better.

Greg Gania isn't DD, but he's pretty darned good. He would sound good on Bally Sports Detroit

Oh, not ripping him.  He just sounds a little forced, but I am sure Dan did at the beginning too.   Yes, he would be a far cry from the snoozefest on TV.

The second baseman bats second.  He is gritty, never strikes out or walks and is a great bunter.

That's exactly right, his OPS is .612 but he has intangibles up to here.
