RandyMarsh Posted September 24 Posted September 24 This is incredible, not AI done either. Can only imagine the amount of time it took to put this together. 2 Quote

oblong Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I read the Metro Times which FOIA'd the arrest reports... Don't get a massage from a man you don't know who says he needs the extra hours to get certified. Quote

Deleterious Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Not sure what triggered it. But there are a ton of Stephen Hawking AI videos on social media today. Quote
CMRivdogs Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Had some old codger telling me I needed to drive across the GH Bridge when I came up this week. Turns out he hasn’t stepped foot in Michigan since Coleman Young was mayor. I’ve been keeping tabs on the project since my son was involved with the reclamation of the land on the Michigan side of the bridge. He had a few stories to tell. Quote
Deleterious Posted October 15 Posted October 15 We were under it this summer. It's a cool looking bridge. They did start lighting it last month. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted October 15 Posted October 15 (edited) Bridge is done, apparently they can't get the customs houses into operation - construction/staffing/training, whatever. Some reports the Canadian side lost a ton of workers to the nearby Stellantis plant project and accusations that US gov is dragging its feet. Edited October 15 by gehringer_2 Quote
oblong Posted October 15 Posted October 15 I run across the Ambassador on Sunday, coming back thru the tunnel... I can't wait to do the same on this one. Than plan is to connect it to the Joe Louis Greenway. What a great tribute for both those fellas. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted October 17 Posted October 17 That is pretty good. And of course they couldn't just upload the video without dumb sound effects. Quote
oblong Posted October 17 Posted October 17 more GH Bridge love.... this is looking south along I 75 at the Interchange. That overpass being worked on is Junction street, which I grew up on. 75 seemed so far away as a kid but when I checked, it was... 2 blocks. Are you kidding me? When you are 6 years old I guess that's far. Quote

Screwball Posted October 21 Posted October 21 I think it would be the neatest thing EVER to figure out how to rob a place you are not suppose to be able to rob. Quote

I think what is funny is that we all have this concept that a robbery like this has to be absolutely brilliant and sophisticated - cat burglar style and all, but this was closer to a smash and grab job. Chainsaws for goodness sake! Edited October 21 by gehringer_2 Quote

Chainsaws for goodness sake! I haven't followed so I don't know, but many times history told us criminals are many times not too smart. It's about the biggest and bestest burgle. How cool would it be to plan the greatest heist in history? I was a burglar as a young puppy so I love that stuff. Quote

Artemis II flies by the moon, not going into orbit, not even replicating Apollo 8, but HLS isn't involved in that. The HLS is ambitious. It's not like the Apollo where the lander goes along for the ride. This flies up separately, gets fueled several times in earth orbit, then takes off on it's own towards the moon. Then in lunar orbit the crew will transfer from Orion to the HLS. NASA, according to it's acting leader, says they are opening up the contract for the lunar lander to other companies because SpaceX is so far behind. I'm not sure what that means. They're nervous about China getting there first. I suspect if we do go back that China will get there first. Artemis III is years away in my very amateur opinion. Quote
