  1. Past hour
  2. Yes, the is the boring and obvious solution, especially if McKinstry is nearing a return (and it sounds like he is). I think it certainly means they aren’t going to put a guy like gage workman on the 40 for such a short term need. Same goes for potential Mize replacements. I hear sammons name thrown around and that just isn’t happening. If sammons is called up I will eat my hat (nacho hats allowed).
  3. orlando is not very good, even with the roster flaws they should still be beating orlando.
  4. what arw the on-off numbers for duren/cade/ausar compared to stew/cade/ausar?
  5. Even with all the negativity, I see the Pistons winning big tonight. By at least 10 points but probably closer to 20.
  6. Just think if they quit wasting shots and just get 2 points 25% of the time. This series would probably be over. Last game i saw at least 4 Piston misses turn into Orlando fast break points, a 5 point swing every time.
  7. a lot of those are open threes. theyre just missing.
  8. McKinstry shouldn’t be out much longer so I doubt they’re going to make a 40 man roster move unless Javy or Mize is going to miss significant time—which it doesn’t look likely they will at this point I’d guess Jung comes up until McKinstry is back
  9. 27.5% ranks them dead last among the 16 playoff teams. #15 is Denver at 30.1%.
  10. another indictment coming I’m sure
  11. Of the 16 playoff teams, Detroit ranks 12th in opponents offensive rebounding. So yeah, they are not doing a very good job. Orlando ranks 6th, so Detroit isn't doing a good job on the other end either.
  12. Today
  13. I can see them adding Clark, but I also think they would view a real back-up shortstop as a necessity. I think Cruz would have been the obvious choice if he was healthy as he has played both CF/SS within the past year and is already on the 40-man. How soon McKinstry coming back is a big consideration.
  14. I can forgive the long rebounds when Orlando shoots and misses a 3 but this Piston teams weakness all season seems to be that we give up a lot of offensive rebounds. I don't know the stat and I hope I'm wrong but it seems like many teans get multiple offensive rebounds against us?
  15. Rumored for a few months now. He played 4 years in the NBA and couldn't shoot. Supposedly he shoots better now but I'm skeptical. Plus defender though.
  16. a whopping $15.50. about enough to go to mcdonalds. 🙂
  17. That’s a lot of capital to give up for a guard. Would it surprise anyone if he ends up a bust in a floundering organization like Miami?
  18. Kasper hasn't been medically cleared to play for Austria at Worlds, apparently he's been on crutches since the season ended with a knee injury https://hockey-news.info/nhl-export-kasper-ich-muss-im-moment-mit-kruecken-gehen/ (austrian link) I figured something was up but I wonder how long he was pushing through that
  19. This is all true - from the roster perspective it is the way to go. The question is how risk tolerant are they about not having a backup SS until McK gets back? I suppose Lee can stand there in an emergency but game logs say he hasn't played any short since 2023 and only 7 games then so we might not get much more than him standing there!
  20. Starting to feel like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin...but this is the game Duren comes up BIG
  21. I think this is true. The minority districts were positive in that more minority representation in government is good but it did create the negative aspect of less competitive districts. However, Citizens United and other gerrymandering malfeasance is killing that anyway.
  22. The boring part of speculating is it could be for naught within the next few hours, so it hardly feels worth it. That said, it’s a low bar. So, I will say that I’m not sure a hot start by workman so far this year is enough to justify a 40-man spot, and I think Scott Harris is “loathe” to give those up without good reason. We know that Clark is likely to occupy a 40-man spot in the near future anyway, and for a long time to come. If you add workman now, that requires a move. If you add Clark in six weeks, that requires another move. I’m not sure giving a 40-man spot to workman for what might be a short term need is worth it. As for Clark being “ready,” I’m not going to put too much weight into GM speak. Even if they would prefer waiting, things changed last night. They can always send him back down when other options become available (and/or if he is struggling). He can play CF and bat 9th and we can see what happens.
