  2. If they drafted ANOTHER first round TE I would be very pissed at Brad Holmes and company. It's the kind of move, with all the needs we have, that would truly cause me to start losing faith in this regime. It would either represent this regime getting too cute and trying to be the smartest guys in the room. Otherwise, taking a first round TE would signify to me that there's a longer term problem with Sam LaPorta. This would be the absolute wrong pick for this team. We need an offensive tackle and need to get this offensive line back to being a strength. We need all sorts of help on the defense. We need defensive line help and someone who can set the edge opposite Aiden and get after the QB. We need a WLB who can replace Anzalone. We potentially have needs in the defensive backfield as well.
  3. I'm going to ask this question here since Tim Twentyman profiled the position on the Lions website. Could the Lions draft Oregon Tight End Kenyon Sadiq in the first round? If they did, how would you feel?
  4. It would take a 2/3 majority. So basically it aint going to happen, We do need a new Constitutional Convention
  5. Jason said it was the longest at bat in MLB this season so far.
  6. I hope we can look back in October at Thursday's loss that dropped us to 4-9 as the low point of our season and have a chuckle about it as we watch the Tigers cruise to yet another playoff win.
  7. Expel them both and anyone else at every level of government who cant keep it in their pants...
  8. Man, what a gutsy final at bat by Anderson to close it out—14 pitches before a 3U.
  9. May I have a half dozen runs a la Bert please?
  10. Jeimer Candelario has been DFA'ed by the Angels. Any interest? 😝
  11. Today
  12. Jeezzzz...dont get Dan Petry talking about pitch calling coming from the dugout. It totally triggers him and he just goes on and on....it's like...shut up already. 😆
  13. Average defensive shortstop is very good! Nobody said he couldn't play short, but when I see "might end up at another position", it seems like they usually do get moved off the position.
  14. I'm gonna eat a little crow here....Max has looked like the hitter he was touted to be so far this year. He is getting the ball up off the ground and has less swing and miss. His eye seems to be improving as well. Defense seems to be improved from last year...maybe better reads? I also like that he is stealing more and successfully. It is a small sample size, but I think he has just matured as a player since last fall.
  15. That strike three on Matty just now was clearly a ball. So I’m out walking today and not paying real close attention. Have we used up all of our challenges already?
  16. That looks more like giving Torres a day off and trying to use the switch-hitterness of Wenceel... plus... he hit decently last year (.748 OPS, not horrible)... than trying to enforce a "Wenceel must bat second" philosophy... IMO. I think when Wenceel plays and Torres plays that it's Torres always in the top-3 with Keith and Kevin... Only when Torres gets that day off and Wenceel is playing will we see this... and I get what Hinch is trying here... But we'll see how Hinch uses him over the next couple of months...
