So, I hate that we have, for the most part, moved away from this path. That said, it was not 100% for political reasons. Car companies didn't want to be left behind and it got to the point where they were expecting growth that our infrastructure could not support. You could argue there was political reasons that kept them pursuing even when it was clear the growth they claimed they would have with EVs clearly couldn't be supported. Some companies like Toyota were worried about that early and focused more on hybrid growth as a logical next step. Now add in the AI bubble and there is even more constraint expected for our energy grid. But yes, it would have been nice to have a thoughtful administration that understood nuance and wasn't all 'clean energy BAD!'

1. He's an asshole. I actually went to high school with him and he's been disliked since then. He likes to talk like he was misunderstood and bullied in high school, but he was actually just a **** who thought he was better than everyone else. Most guys on the baseball team just stayed away from him (honestly I think he self-segregated). 2. He's not that good anymore. He had like a 4.45 ERA in Japan. It feels like he greatly benefited from the sticky stuff and now is just another guy 3. His legal baggage, no matter how you feel about it, will bring negative attention to your club. Plus it isn't just a question of rough sex, it is a question of consent so it isn't like it's just kink shaming. That is going to attract a lot of negative feelings. But I think 2 is the most important, teams will put up with 1 and 3 as long as you're exceptional.

The silver lining with trailing in this game is it takes out the possibility of our pen blowing a save.

I’m driving up to Donnelly Idaho to open up my friends’s place in the mountains to make sure the winter didn’t destroy anything there.
