People who spend a lot of time thinking about gore are into firing squads. I'll bet its POTUS.
-
When you actually think about electrocutions, gas, and lethal injections, maybe a firing squad would be more humaine.
-
They're also mad that Democrats grew a spine for once instead of rolling over and saying "Sir, may I have another" Bullies don't like folks who fight back

Brad's reactions are always tremendous. He clearly has full confidence and conviction in every pick he makes. - Today

What do they intend to accomplish here?

From a positional stand point I'd be disappointed by that. But as of right now I'm still firmly in the camp of: "In Brad we Trust."

Related to McNeill, they also played him out of position a lot when AQM wasn't on the field (and Davenport was injured). He's not designed to be setting the edge. Hopefully they'll have the personnel and health this year to put him back where he belongs at the 3-tech. -
I would agree with this 100%. Excellent way to looking at it.
-
Yes, lots of wild cards on defense. I think McNeil will be healthy again and I think Williams will step into the Reader role and fill it well. But Anzalone was a real dude back there and they’re going to need someone who can cover TEs. With the health issues at safety, and the uncertainty about Arnold, the back end needs help.

At work sometimes we get stuff related to the season we're currently working on, usually sweatshirts and a mug or something. Late last year a coworker who is in office (I work remote) reached out saying there was something there for me. He was going to bring it to our holiday party, but I couldn't go to the party in the end because I couldn't find a dog sitter. I messaged the guy and said I appreciate him offering to bring it to the party, I didn't want him to have to worry about it anymore so he could just stash it somewhere in the office or even give/throw it away. No response. Early this week I get an email from him saying he'll mail the stuff to me and I can pay him back. Random, I apologize that he's had the stuff for so long especially since I forgot about it. I just say sure mail it. Package showed up yesterday, I let him know I got it so let me know how to pay him. He sends me his venmo and says it was $17. I have the box in front of me and it clearly says the shipping was $11.32 lmao. I didn't say anything to the guy and just sent $17 but I'm highly annoyed at the whole situation over stuff I didn't even want! Why even send it for $11, I clearly wasn't itching to get this just send it as cheap as possible! Hell send an office PA to my house it has been done before! I feel like I just bought him a drink doing a favor I didn't want and it's annoying me on a Friday!

I know, right? I guess their population explosion is all homegrown.

In theory... yes. You have established stars in Hutch, McNeill, Campbell, Branch, and Joseph. You have first round talent in Arnold and Williams. That's 7 out of 11 spots that could all be pro-bowl level pieces. In practice... probably not. McNeill was not great last year, though that hopefully is just him getting back up to speed after the injury. Branch will likely miss most (if not all) of '26. If he does come back before the end of the season he'll likely not be up to his old self, at least not right away (see: McNeill, 2025) Joseph may or may not play much of '26, and may or may not be up to his previous caliber when he does play. Arnold seemed to be improving, but obviously that got derailed by the injuries, so who knows what '26 will look like for him. Williams rookie season was an INC in my opinion. There were some good signs, but he didn't play enough or show enough yet to warrant 1st round pick status. Huge emphasis on the 'yet' part. There's still plenty of time for him to show his skills and "earn" the 1st round pick. All of this is a long winded way of saying: In a best case senario with star players returning healthy and young players continuing to develop as one might expect, then yes a 4th best grade is spot on... maybe even too low. But in a worst case senario where injured players don't return in '26 and/or young guys don't continue to develop, we're probably looking at more like a 16th (or worse) grade.

Ahh, it’s just sour grapes. They’re learning that undermining democracy can cut both ways, not just one.

I remember going to a Mud Hens game and a group of maybe a dozen fans would wildly yell “SKEETER!” when he came up to bat. Unsurprisingly, that group seemed to have vacated after beer sales were done. -

I thought about including him on that list I made, but even though he's athletic, he's closer to a 1-tech than a 3-tech, and it's hard to see him getting significant playing time behind Tyleik and Alim. Intuitively, it feels like even the Lions can have too much of a good thing if you've got Levi and Miller riding the pine while a no name gets their ass handed to them by a tight end across from a double team on Hutch. -
That sounds like Brad. I would rather they add some speed to the LB and edge group. I like Jacob Rodriguez as well. Miller's scouting report is that he is a 325 pound one tech, just like Tyleik.

I think you can be creative with the direction (adding a nickel, safety, or corner), but I'd be surprised if they go into week one with the defensive backfield they currently have. Feels like you're depending a lot on Kerby, who's a question mark, Branch, who probably won't be back until at least October, and even Rakestraw, who's struggled to see an NFL field. -
I don't spend time learning about players for the draft, but the Lions selecting an OT with the first round has my approval.
