Rumor was that Weaver wanted to take JD at pick #5 and he got overruled so he traded up to get him. I realize JD's value just dropped across the league, but maybe a sign and trade involving Trey Murphy could be worked out with our former GM. -
UofM system always leaves voice mails and usually sends texts/emails as well. Nobody should be relying on a live telephone connection to communicate in the 21st century, it's been a debased system for a long time. Another thing that shouldn't be the way it is but we have a government that doesn't work.

My friend, who is in the parts business, always told me to keep it simple with appliances. Don't get all the fancy gadgets. You don't use them. "When you do laundry, you probably push the same button every time". He's right. The hardest part was disconnecting connectors. ONe of htem were the metal connnecters and i didn't want to cut my hand so I used pliers... well that helped close them shut so I had to open them up again so they'd slide back on to the thing they were connecting too... not hard but it took a 3 minute job and made it 6 or 7. I also had trouble engaging the pulley on the tub, not because I couldn't do it, but because I was doubting myself. When I removed the front panel, it was hanging there by itself. But after taking it out and vaccuuming and all that, when I put it back, it wouldn't stay by itself. I took before photos (another piece of advice, take photos). I figured at that point after 10 years it was just sort of lodged in there on it's own. Then I invested in some of those thin work gloves for instances like that. Prevents the 'paper cut' things that happens.

I've never been so unhappy to be right about something. Before Game 1 I also said Orlando was going to be a really tough challenge for this team - probably our second worst matchup in the East besides Cleveland. I'm not happy about that prediction coming true either 😞 -
you're right, but OTOH, the NCAA and B1G are at least as full of academic cheating stories as academic success stories so a casual reader is just going to see it fitting into the assumed narrative. And just to beat an old point into the ground, it's the problem of social media factoids being out there with no context. Was he talking about graduating from an accredited program or about just skating by? You can't tell that from the one line post.

Now Little Donnie, you need to practice reading out loud more. And no playing in your new basement play room until you finish ALL your homework

Good work. The other thing is that a lot of newer appliances have a single PCB controller board. 99% of the non-mechanical things that go wrong are failures in that board. It's usually about 10 minutes to replace the board and you can find them on the internet, so that's another 'go to' for maybe $150 tops before you run up a service bill or buy a replacement. One of the funnier things I've witnessed was a service tech who came out look at our dishwasher (under warranty at the time) and just thew up his hands because he couldn't diagnose the problem. Just replacing the board before he checked anything else would have rung up less charge to his employer than half the labor time he spent poking around. In the end, the warranty service co never did fix it. But it's still in my kitchen running with the new board I put in it....

It is so funny how this is being spun. Also, OSU aside, why is everyone attacking Arvell Reese, suddenly? Like every post on r/NFL and r/CFB is dragging this guy. I have never seen him get in trouble, talk trash, being a diva, a-hole, etc - Dude barely talked during his time at OSU. I had a 2.5 GPA in high school but turned it around in college and graduated with honors on the dean's list. Does that mean my college sucked or does it mean I actually applied myself in college? Weird thing to rip on a person for. Dude bettered himself and people are using it tear him and OSU down. Weird.

I wonder if a team has ever won a series while shooting below 40% from the field. Orlando is currently shooting 38.7% from the field for the series. Two teams, the Lakers and Spurs, are shooting higher than that from three. -

It won't shock anyone, but Detroit has the worst offensive rating in the playoffs at 100.3. For some context, Brooklyn was the worst in the regular season at 108.2. Detroit was 117.2 -
if you lose 10 straight the problem is not your manager, it's your pitching staff, which means it's your GM. But GMS's don't fire themselves. 🙄

Maybe this is a repeat but if you are repairing a dryer yourself, just go ahead and get all the potential parts. If you have a simply dryer they are easy to repair and the parts are not that expensive. I had an issue a few years ago with heat. Visited a friend's appliance parts business, got 3 parts for $30. I tried the first one, that worked. A few weeks ago same issue so I tried the two parts I already had. Didn't work. Did some research and saw 3 other potential issues and since I'd have the patient open, so to speak, so I tried it. The work wasn't hard but I wish I had just went ahead and bought all of them at once becuase it would have saved me from having to remove the drum twice. I'm not handy and was able to do this for under $100 and I have about 5 new components on my dryer. I also was able to get a good vaccuum in once I removed the drum.... and best of all. I found $30 in change. Somehow coins escape the drum and exist inside the shell of the dryer.

if they lose in 5, the cya stories will start. about how trajan knew they werent ready yet and that's why he didnt go all in. youre already starting to see it. he "wanted to see how they would react to the pressure" or some bs like that. the team needes shooting and you traded for robinson and heurter. both of whom stink. i get that beasley screwed you over, but you had all year to watch the team without him and yoy chose to do nothing about it. the team needed other ball handlers besides cade and you stuck with danniss jenkins. with predictable results. there were decent role players available and they chose to do nothing. you could have made a play for cj mccollum and overpaid, perhaps it was wise not to do so? the easiest thing to do was to do nothing. and that's what he did. -

Pistons had 15 3PTA's last night where there was no defender within 6 feet of the shooter. They made 3 of them. Cade 1-5 Harris 0-3 Robinson 1-3 Green 0-2 Stewart 1-1 Jenkins 0-1 With no defender within 4-6 feet they shot 12 3PTA's and made 3. Cade 2-5 Harris 0-1 Robinson 0-3 Jenkins 0-2 Green 1-1 So combined, with no defender within 4 feet or more on 3PTA's they shot 6-27 or 22%. -

it's part of the price we pay for the stuff we do like. For instance we were traveling last week and had put AirTags in our bags. They will ping of any phone they can find and then the apple network gives you your AirTag's location based on the system knowing where those phones are. So apple is hijacking someone's phone without them knowing to tell me where my tag is every time I check. If everybody opted out of the system all the time, that kind of stuff wouldn't work. Similar kind of concept behind traffic conditions on navigation apps.

Didn't watch the full game but DID see a replay where Mantha did a beautiful forecheck and made a nice pass to Soderblom who buried it. Nice to see them wake up a bit, Pitt needed that.

Yeah, but it's so weird to be standing for maybe 3-5 minutes in one section of a store and they knew EXACTLY what I was looking for. Just creepy. But I think I am a fairly young-thinking old guy at 61, but I don't need non-stop adulation on social media. To me it's a form of mental illness and there's a lot of really sick people out there and they don't know it. I've read about a growing trend of people unplugging from social media and finding themselves to be much, much happier. It's crazy. It's like the Black Mirror episode "Nosedive", which is the most realistic episode of the whole series. Great episode and 100% happening in real life.

Maybe its a blessing Langdon didn't make a trade. His big free agent acquisition played 25 minutes and scored 2 points last night.
