  1. Past hour
  2. The Lions have a 4th so I doubt they trade for a second 4th.
  3. Michigan didnt play moore a lot because of their stupid rotations last year. he might develop into a better pass rusher. but the lions seem to want that pocket crusher, edge setter, run stuffer DE. which is why i thought they would want zion young, but moore could probably be that guy too. hate to give up the 4th, but if its a guy they really wanted...ah well. does brad trade next year's 3rd for a 4th this year?
  4. that and the constant maga stuff. charlie is still a decent read.
  5. It strikes me that Walter's mind probably works a lot like his website. Lots of annoying popups that keep getting in the way of conveying a useful thought.
  6. I think we have some financial constraints that are going to keep us from being buyers so we don’t lose out on draft picks. Getting Verlander, which hopefully can be a starter moves Flaherty or Monterro to the pen and that’ll help. Also Melton and Jobe being able to help out of the pen or as starters late this year will help with quality arms. With that said we are a couple arm injuries that will inevitably happen from disaster right now on the pitching side.
  7. This is probably a .500 team with our bullpen. I don’t see any help coming from within and teams don’t usually give up any players of worth prior to July. Even then, we’d need to add 2-3 arms to be competitive. Our saving grace is that we play in the AL Central and should be able to hang around most of the season.
  8. The control issue was quite a surprise. All the Tiger pitchers seemed to keep falling behind hitters. Falling behind hitters is a recipe for disaster.
  9. i dont trust any draft experts. the one i trust the LEAST is probably walterfootball.
  10. "What kind of a loser just sits there watching round and round ...". "It's like going to a graduation when you don't know anyone graduating".
  11. And CBS Sports gives Detroit an A- for Moore but Baltimore gets a C+ for Zion Young who "is more of a run-stopper than a pass rusher." And Zierlein says Young "has the power to bull rush or drive through edges, but lacks instincts and variety in his rush approach. His NFL pressure production will lag behind without better go-to moves and counters. Young’s physical tools and rugged demeanor give him a chance to be an instant run-stopping upgrade with average rush." But Moore "is a bull-rush aficionado, piling up pressures and sacks. He’s strong through the top of the rush but needs to prove he can consistently stress long, well-anchored tackles. When it’s time to finish, he tackles with reliable technique and timing. If Moore cranks up the fire on all three downs, he can become a good full-time player. Either way, he projects as a starter capable of racking up pressures." Doesn't seem like a stretch that Brad and Dan would like Moore as a player.
  12. Thomas Massie endorsed by Kenosha Kyle Rittenhouse?!?!?
  13. Bone head throwing errors by Javy, De Jesus and Flaherty have cost them about half a dozen runs in the past week. Good news is Melton may be ready for rehab soon.
  14. Damn Harris! We need pitching and defense dammit
  15. Never mind that what about this!!!
  16. Maybe I posted about this before but I don’t remember, but: When you’re phoning for customer support, the AI voice gets all your information—name, address, birthdate, last four of social, and a description of your issue—and then when you get passed to a human, they ask you all the same information again, claiming they don’t have it in front of them. This appears to occur in the vast majority of customer support phone call situations. If the support human doesn’t have all the info passed to them, them why is the AI voice asking it of you in the first place? I don’t know whether I’ve merely lucked into substandard support systems repeatedly, whether the companies intentionally use AI voices to harvest the information and keeps the support human in the dark, or whether the support human gets the info passed to them but is instructed to ask for all the info all over again, but no matter what the deal is, it’s bad. Furthermore, I have no feel for whether this entire situation is intentionally deployed with the specific goal of training people to stop reaching out to customer support, at least by phone, by frustrating them. There’s a non-zero chance of that, too.

  18. From MC's favorite site, lol. Detroit Lions Detroit Lions: Derrick Moore, DE, Michigan – MILLEN DON’T FORGET YOUR KIELBASA FOR KIELBASA DAY Grade Yuck. I thought the Lions were going to trade up for Zion Young or Gabe Jacas. All of these talented edge rushers seemed like the Lions were going to fall to the Lions at No. 50. Yet, they moved up six spots for … Derrick Moore? The Michigan edge rusher was productive in school, but he’s undersized, so I definitely ranked him behind the other edge rushers. Horrible!
  19. I think there is a cascading effect of losing meadows steady defense in center…lots of guys moving around…plus Gleyber looks like a corpse. offense and starting pitching will be fine in the macro…bullpen and defense I have no idea.
  20. By the way, we all know this will not be the extent of Republican attempts to fix the election, right? Especially given all the open talk of impeachment and imprisonment of Republicans once Democrats take the House and Senate. If this bald-faced upfront cheating on redistricting doesn’t work, there will be other strategies employed during the election and on the backend, because if anyone thinks Trump and the Republicans are going to just sit around and allow a free and fair election to strip them of power and expose them to criminal liability, they’re delulu.
  21. Well, this was inevitable, wasn’t it? I debated whether to put this in the Election Fraud thread, because it does relate.
  22. Nobody in this draft needs a DE and certainly not one from a blue chip program like Michigan and it is purely coincidental that the team Detroit traded in front of also took a DE and certainly there is no way that the head coach of that team Detroit traded in front of who was that players defensive coordinator for a national championship year had any interest in drafting him and he was a first time head coach anyway so there's no way he had any say in who was getting drafted and he would have been on the board anywhere Detroit wanted to pick him... It is insane the extent to which people invent conspiracy theories to try to disprove conclusions that are obvious.
  23. Last 7 days of Bullpen Issues Harris is going to need to upgrade this by the deadline or we will flame out again
