I used to work at a credit union on Chicago road in 1998/1999. Passed by there every day. Used to joke with our operations/maintenance guy about going there for lunch. We never did. Went to Teddys instead. A normal bar

Questioning intentional walks? Yesterday's game was screaming for an intentional walk to the LH Keith to get to the RH Tork. I'm still amazed it wasn't done. Glad, but wondering why... -
Tonight is punishment for the good games earlier in the week.

Right. There are very little secrets in baseball. Don’t let nostalgia force you to overpay. These aren’t special players.

Yea, that would be on the engineering drawing with a bunch of what they call GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) to spec that part. They are all suppose to match withing a particular tolerance. These things are a bad design to start. You will never crimp a pretty looking thin gauge chromed part (which is why they do this - pretty - marketing) around a lugnut. The thin metal can't go smaller because of the size of the nut, but will eventuality try to revert to the mean, and expand. But we must satisfy marketing; chrome wheels, chrome nuts, look pretty, sell cars. Their entire function is to keep the wheels from falling off the car.

there's a british sideline reporter? wtf?

i forgot jalen green was on phoenix. man, who do you root against? the triumverate of ass hole that is steve kerr, draymond green, and jimmy butler or the unique piece of **** of dillon brooks combined with the guy who thinks he's better than cade, jalen green?
-
the best part about phoenix-golden state is that one of draymond green or dillon brooks is going to lose.
-
there was a lot of that. once they were down 30, ball started going one on five and scoring.

Not looking forward to the reckless defense of Orlando in the first round. Seems like they undercut someone in the air or dive into someone's legs in every game I watch. Bane alone checked both of those boxes in this game against Charlotte. They're also bigger and just as punishing defensively as we are. For some reason they get a great whistle as well, so you can expect to see Paulo and Franz shooting free throws all day. I'd rather have had Philly, Toronto, or Atlanta. Not that Orlando is necessarily a better team, they're just a worse matchup for us. Same with Cleveland who we'll likely get in round 2 if we top the Magic. Probably the worst first round and second round matchups for the Pistons - this is going to be a tough road.

Jon Jon's?

This is really nothing new as far as problems with the designs, but the one lugnut theory is probably sound. Another way to rip you off, especially those who don't know what the car parts do. Sounds scary - I have bad wheel nuts - fix them. Not really, just how they look. Not as pretty, but they do what they are suppose to do - keep the wheels on. Kind of important. $322 dollars later... That's just nuts. The dealer (maybe a local decision) is just ripping this guy off.

He's a third baseman, would you have preferred he play right field or first base? -

Fake win for the Red Sox. I stiil can not get myself to care much about the extra inning games. I mean I'd rather see them win than lose, but as soon as it became impossible for the Tigers to win in regulation, I Iost interest in following the game. -

I don’t know what the technical issue regarding Apple TV and local radio is, but t’s really interesting listening to the producer talk with the talent while the mic is purportedly cold. He was just debating with Dan and Dan that Tigers should have walked Yoshida to get to Wong and set up the force at home. Dickerson disagreed outright, and Petry reminded the producer that A.J. doesn’t like to walk hitters, anyway. -

Well, when the Tigers win the next three games, Red Sox fans will be calling for the team to be guillotined. I’m looking forward to this. -

Loss. Playing a raw rookie at 3rd base on his ML debut wasn't the smartest move by Hinch. He had multiple options... -

Ah ****, that was nobody’s fault. At normal depth that’s probably a double play and we’re in the 11th. A baseball fan would say this was a hell of a game. -

Well, according to the national broadcasters, the Tigers just can’t win a game on the road other than in San Diego. -
