Pretty funny clip. I'm not sure if Lasorda was just playing or if he was serious;
-
Yikes. I had no idea he was on there.
-
I had to unfollow him on Twitter because of some retweets. He probably consulted it before the Karim Garcia trade!

I didn't save it but a guy on Twitter, who claims to be an oil expert, claims the shortage by the blockage of the Straight of Hormuz hasnt even hit American refineries yet. And when it does, oil won't only be double in price but also unavailable. A serious shortage. My unanswered question is... According to Trump, we don't need any oil from there. And if that was true, why did the price spike? And then I remember Trump is a pathological liar...and there's my answer.

I have always thought of him as way below average and he does not scoop the ball well either despite what our announcers may say. He never repositions on the bag for better angles. His planted foot is in cement. Yesterday's McGonigles error was a case in point. If Tork slides down a touch to the corner of the bag he can get the bounce throw easier and stay away from the runner. Agree the arm is weak and chasing foul balls is always a challenge. Personally I am ready to put Colt there full time for at least two months and see what we have but then again Colt can't reach the seats and G2 has pointed out he isn't really trying so that hardly makes for a first baseman. I feel bad complaining so soon but "something" is off with this team and the core of Tork-Greene - Carpenter might be the issue. -
We also cringed when word was Yzerman was interested in Stamkos - I know I did - but here he is with a 39 goal season.

Just a WAG: When the weather warms up... I think they start playing better. I don't think this is a cold-weather team. IMO. PS: I can NOT explain last year though... -

It's just too early for this. Not even a dozen games played yet...? Then again... Can't wait to see THIS!!! -

Absolutely clown show amateur hour

we all said the same thing about asp and danielson and they both kind of sucked at the nhl level. i'm down on stevie right now but i'm not sure bringing up the rookies would have made a positive difference this year.

I don't think it was a completely pointless. A lot of wealthy evil people used the top of their evil game to get a lot more wealthy. Which is probably why nukes didn't end up being used after all: there's no money in dropping nukes. All that would do is destroy a wealth of resources controlled by Iran.

So he is 75 points under on BABIP... When his BABIP stabilizes and if he can up his LD% to a significant degree (small sample size after all...); Sure, I think we'all could have a conversation on the effectiveness of any supposed changes that Greene made... Today: I don't think I'm there yet... give him another month or thereabouts...
-
we all said the same thing last summer and we signed mason appleton and JVR.
-
I guess I should add Peck in there too... To see if he can take another step up at the higher level...
-
Riley Green: Small sample size, but more batted balls up the middle, not hitting at quite the line drive rate as before, improved SO% and BB%,.... is the approach there and better results are soon to follow?

I don't know—I wonder whether one of the October surprises will be Trump and the Republicans doing a lot of 11th-hour stuff passing reform bills (or maybe resolutions?) that explicitly promise to lower gas and grocery prices, or provide checks for thousands of dollars to households—in 2027, of course, and only as long as a Republican Congress is still in power then—and also, will suddenly stop using bat**** talk and start using the language of reasonable politics to draw trad Republicans to the polls for them.

Cossa could have easily played 30-40 games this year, with Talbot used only during injuries/ emergencies or an occasional start on a back-to-back (or 3 games in 4 nights...) or a bad game by Cossa or Gibson (IE: coming in the 2nd period after the starter gives up 5 goals...). IMO.
-
Sure, it seems painful now, but look on the bright side: think of how much sooner Jesus will come! 🤡

The 0.7 difference is probably all fielding and fielding stats don't work in a small sample.

In a classic case of jokes writing themselves, Woo-Suk Go was demoted to Erie after putting up a 20+ ERA to date in Toledo.
-
The Habs have three goalies - Montembault, Dobes and Fowler - and will get rid of one. Dobes is a 24 year old 5th rounder and Fowler is a 21 year old 3rd rounder. Fowler and Dobes both have trade value because both have been allowed to build up a portfolio of NHL starts. 16 games for Fowler this season, 40 games for Dobes this season after Fowler last season. Cossa could have played 20 games this season instead of Talbot, sink or swim. If Yzerman and McLelland suspected he would fail, let's stop pretending and ditch him on someone before the rest of the NHL finds out, if they haven't already.
-
And the Republicans know this, and they will move heaven and earth to prevent any election losses in November, and I am not talking about merely good, solid campaigning.

And now for a normal video of the fight instead of a phone-friendly vid in portrait mode:
