Is anyone else struck by the absurdity/unreality of Trevor's interview with Lester's father? Sure it's a 'feel good' story that the guy is getting his cup of coffee as reward for being a good MiLB solder, but does anyone seriously believe Lester has an MLB future, and that being the case isn't an interview like Trevor just did borderline emotion predation on the family?

I'm surprised no one has talked about this. I'm trying to get through the full concert, i'm about 2 hours in and it's been fantastic. This, rightfully so, won the twitterverse related to this show. I don't think Grohl lied when he said he's never seen anyone hit the drums as hard as this kid.

Definitely some good fun there. Always good when the perspective gets pulled back to the fact that they are, after all, playing-a-game.

Ain't gonna lie, I saw it as a synonym and figured it was worth a use.

This reminded me of a funny story. The house we lived in when I was a young kid had an intercom system. It was a convenient way of getting five kids to come to dinner etc. So we sold the house and eventually one of the next owners, rather than removing the system or unplugging it, simply wallpapered over it. Fast foward a number of years, my neighbor next door, who still lives there, is a HAM radio enthusiast. Due to the age of the intercom system, it would occasionally pick up the signals from his HAM radio. The people thought the house was haunted because of the muffled voices coming out of the walls. Funny enough, it didn't even happen when he was using it. It was picking up random signals from all over the world so sometimes the voices would be speaking foreign languages.

Damn, you get up early. I'm going to bed now.

Our kids with their shooter drills have it pretty bad (and totally unacceptable) but this is worse. Imagine those Cold War era "duck and cover" drills but with a realistic chance of happening on a daily basis.
