  2. From a roster standpoint, it is time for Miggy to go.

  3. Not everyone has a car. Not everyone has the internet or a smartphone. No the state doesn't do that. You can't just call the Red Cross for a ride either. Some people really are vulnerable and it's not their fault. Some people can't leave because they are first responders or health care workers. Being in a vehicle in a wal mart parking lot is not very safe either.

  4. Believe me… I remember his “no” vote. Quite clearly. And I do not want anyone blocking needed federal aid to them, … and please, let’s not forget Puerto Rico again.

  6. I think your need to look down on and go after people who have had their lives destroyed as if they did something wrong is just a bit rude and tone deaf. Not every house in a beach area is an oceanfront mansions. Many are trailers and manufactured homes that do not require one to be wealthy to live in. I don't get that mentality. Blame the victim. Call them names. Nice. Why aren't you down there price gouging bottled water?

  7. If charging wern't an issue, would you buy an electric car? My wife and I are retired, and haven't driven farther than 100 miles from our house for many years. For us, th edecision was "yes." We charge in our garage overnight, or even less often. Her car has 250 minles or range and mine has 300. I can't tell the difference in my electric bill. Meanwhile, I have no fuel injection, no muffler, no cooling system, transmission, and probably several other things I don't know about. I have gained a heat pump, but now I have my car producing hot or cool air by the time I get to the end of my driveway.

  8. Worth noting the Giants are rolling too. With a couple more wins and continued MIL/PHI tailspin their playoff chances could start to be noninfinitesimal.

  10. Hey All, I've been trying to sift through the infield prospects to see where all these guys are going to play. Some will be kept, some will be traded, and some will flame out. Who knows what the new regime will do, but speculation is the fun part. The info below is a breakdown of each player. This is not my opinion, just info from the net. The Best fit is my opinion though. Here are my thoughts and I'd love to hear from anyone who has seen any of these kids live or has some more info. There's a lot of talent here! I think Graham should be taking balls in RF. Graham has that tall lanky body with big strides and a strong arm, that says RF to me. He looks like a skinnier Christain Yelich I think Colt Keith wil be the long term starter at 3B. He reminds me of Austin Riley who also played football and pitched in high school at MS. He should keep improving, focusing on only hitting. Riley struggled after every promotion then adjusted like Keith has done. Pacheco should also see some time in RF. He has the power profile, arm, and athleticism to excel in the OF. He could also be the long term starter at 3B if Keith should falter. Santana is going to be a stud. He'll be a long term solution at SS or 2B depending on where Baez's defense is at when he's ready. Bastidas could also be the long term SS when he's ready. He's a glove first/ improving bat SS. I really like Wenceel and Seretti as switch hitting UT options, although both are capable of starting at 2B. I don't really see where Jung and Gold fit right now with little information on both outside of being polished college hitters. They both seem destined for LF/1B/DH type roles if they stay Tigers. There are more athletic options for 2B and better strong armed prospects for 3B in the mix. Workman and Segura seem to be the most likely traded, mainly due to their lack of plate discipline and high K rates. Workman is a wild card though, he could turn in to something valuable or be a total flop. Segura is more just a numnbers thing. He'll probably mature into a 3B where we seem stocked. Lipcius is more of a place holder til Perez/Seretti is up and Cruz is very meh. A 24 year old glove only SS could be found anywhere. 13. For me, it all comes down to that roster spot.... dedicating one roster spot to a full time DH who has largely been in decline at the one job he has over the past few months is a headache for anyone tasked with building a roster for 2023, there's really no other way to slice it. Who knows, maybe Miggy will see a renaissance next year in his final season, but somehow I doubt it. And his presence takes away one additional spot that could be filled externally or internally. It is what it is, but it sucks regardless.

  16. I would prefer my government advocate on behalf to protect my privacy from self-interested corporations of whom I am a target audience member and not a constituent. I would certainly trust my government before I trust the corporations. In any event, it’s no longer reasonable to expect people to have to go completely off the grid in order to safeguard their privacy. We should not have to cede the Internet to corporations to exploit as their owned-and-operated resource.

  19. You want privacy? Then destroy you cellphone, all your TVs, all your computers. Never go online again. Get rid of your car and get a bicycle. Go live in a little cabin in the woods, but even then, every time you go into town for supplies or food, there will be a camera somewhere that sees you.

  20. I think it's less about how teammates would perceive a move like this. I think they want him to leave on his terms as a reward for all of his contributions and milestones. They likely don't want to risk any negativity/bad blood--they've come this far.

  21. If he can walk on the knee without making it worse. Not that we have any right to the information - but the diagnosis on Miggy's knee has remained sort of mysterious at the public level - all we know is it hurts and it can't be fixed. But since we have no idea what is good/bad for it, who knows what we should be expecting Cabrera to be doing or not doing to help give himself a better chance to play productively again?

  22. I don't understand how it would do the team more harm to the club to cut Miggy for 2023. I suspect that it might not go over well with the Latin players, and that would be my only reason for keeping him around. It is time to move past the Miggy era right now. If he is going to stick around, make him the 2nd assistant hitting coach or something, but I don't want him on the active roster.
