  1. The grift is even better than it appears... https://threats.substack.com/p/trumps-trading-card-grift-is-worse

  2. You know, it seems like toy manufacturers missed out on the Catholic school nun action figure market. They could come with boxing gloves as a default I suppose. But then you also sell rulers and coffee mugs and chalk and chalkboard erasers and books as additional weapons for separate purchase.

  3. Found the nun puppet my brother had given my mother, oh.. maybe 30 years ago. It throws a neat left hook. 🙂 She loved it, and would poke my father with it, when she felt he needed it. I’ve been laughing my butt off all morning. 😂

  5. This is such a weak take. Not that logic actually matters but there's a diference between a crisis and a constitutional crisis. They considered it a constitutional crisis, to the point where the leader of their party was advocating terminating pertinent aspects of the constitution to install himself president over it. We consider it a crisis because we like twitter and don't want it to suck ballz Another reason it's a weak take is that you can easily just switcheroo it: "Conservatives got banned/suppressed/censored and it was a crisis. Libs and journalists get banned and it's not a crisis".

  6. I'm not a fan of the teal jerseys - wish those would've remained buried. Huge fan of the red alternates though going all the way back to the '04 reds. I was wearing last year's red edition Cade jersey.

  12. Yes, it does seem cheap. But, along with inflation, add in the growth of the game over time from then to now. Tickets for tonight range from $14/each to $2,250 for a pair along the baseline (where if you are lucky, Drunk Uncle Tom Gores might spill a drink on you..... if he shows up). Such a primitive box score then:

  13. the pistons won that game 113-106. playing for the kings that night was former pistons #1 pick jimmy walker, who would become more well known later in life as the father of jalen rose.

  18. I go to see my friends and because baseball is back. But we are over the party atmosphere. I just can’t take all the public drunkenness. Same reason I don’t to go o lions games anymore. We get there early just to secure parking.

  19. Why is half the board spelling Sean McVAY as McVEY? His name is McVAY. Here's his wikipedia page if you don't believe me: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_McVay Or is this some kind of insider joke that I am missing...?

  20. It wasn’t just McVey and his system either. Zac Taylor, Matt Lafleur, and even old UM passing guru Jedd Fisch were all around Goff and played a key role in his development. They are highly regarded and are all great with QB’s. A young guy couldn’t ask for a better staff to learn from.

  21. We're on the same page here. There's something I just don't like about McVay. He's got that Patricia type arrogance but he actually wins. I feel like he's the type if the Rams continue to lose that players will turn on him but I also think he is the type to bail before it gets to that point.

  22. that doesnt mean goff didnt benefit greatly from mcvay. it probably says a lot more about how well ben johnson and dan campbell are doing and that perhaps they should be mentioned in the same converaation.

  28. From what I read, Sauce typically lines up on a specific side of the field vs a specific receiver so I think Ben Johnson will be able to get favorable matchups for St Brown. I would like to see the Lions get Williams involved in the play action crosses they run so well. His speed is a weapon east-west as well as north-south.

  30. This was a distraction attempt by him. The home insurance market is crumbling, and he brought the legislature together in a special session to rewrite the laws and make sure if the crumble continues it is the homeowners who suffer, not the companies that bribed him. Almost all of his big shows of idiocy are done while he and his cronies in legislature are doing something particularly evil to screw over the people.
