  1. Came across this card on eBay. Pretty certain I had it as a kid. Sharing the back of it, as it’s pretty well written and comprehensive of what his accomplishments and appeal were. Enjoy

  2. I don’t think the issue is character as much as it’s work ethic. They are not the same. The car incident was tragic but that’s not what’s weighing him down. Does he really love football and is he willing to work and study to get better as a football player. That’s the issue. Every top guy has talent but they also work tirelessly and are driven to compete and get better. Most of the guys that bust out of the league weren’t able to take every part of their preparation to that next level needed.

  6. It was interesing/funny to here Jansen talk about this the other morning. You suddenly have a lot of money and opportunity but if you are going to be good you still just have to resign yourself that it's going to be a pretty boring life for as long as you are playing.

  7. They planned the final games well. In between rounds of March Madness. Nothing sports related to watch the last few days besides WBC.

  8. Carter fits a need better than Anderson. If Holmes isn't concerned with Carter's character than you have to draft him.

  9. What it comes down to is the evaluation of Brad and Dan (duh). If they decide that Anthony Richardson is the best QB prospect then I would expect a trade up to 3 to go get him. If they don’t like any of the QBs they will sign a vet and move on. Not sure the cost of swapping 6 for 3 is, probably a 2nd rounder. This draft is the first one I remember where I don’t really care what direction they go. Any of WR, DL, QB or secondary either the two first round picks is a good with me. No on a TE. I’d be ok with Robinson at RB if they love him.

  11. That's what I see, too, plus Vierling has crushed it at times in the minors without a high BABIP, including last year in a short stint at AAA. Plus he had much better BIP luck against LHP (.337) vs RHP (.260). Flatten those out to league BABIP average of .291 and the numbers come a lot closer to each other (.241/.297/.335 vs. RHP, .254/.296/.377 vs LHP). Neither of those are fantastic, but he is still only 26 so probably a bit of room to grow. He was the guy I liked best from the trade, so I would love to see him prove out.

  13. Yep, 48-17. Hip was responsible for 6 touchdowns that night. 4 passing and 2 rushing. Talk about a great home debut. OH MY GOD, THE WHOLE GAME IS ON YOUTUBE...............We probably thought those graphics were so amazing and cutting edge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeHukrwnwWw Wow, look at all that haze in the Silverdome, it's almost all cigarette smoke

  14. I would guess given Hinch's obsession with interchangeablility, they want them both to be able to play both but not likely at the same time - that part today is just ST random opportunity.

  16. I mean its not like I'm going to lose sleep over USA losing but it has felt weird the last couple nights watching them having a real rooting interest in a baseball team that is playing in a playoff like environment. Been almost a decade since I can say that.
