Neither team may make the playoffs, but there's a zero percent chance they would cancel a game in April without a plan to make it up. Way way too early in the season for that1 point

I think they will, because there aren't many other options to make it up for the rest of the season. The Giants go to Miami for a night game tomorrow, while we have Cleveland at home. So that's mostly fine for us. The only two real options to make it up later in the season are to either: have both teams give away their July 13 All-Star break day off and have the Giants come play here, after which they go on to Pittsburgh for the 14th, while we fly all the way to Seattle for the 14th; or Giants stop over on July 24 on their way from Washington to go to SF for a homestand, while we give away our off day in the middle of our own homestand, which is convenient for us. However, that would make it nineteen (19) straight days we play during the stretch. Of the two rescheduling options, the latter seems more likely. On the other hand, the Giants are here right now, and the rain looks like it's going away for good around 6pm. So I think they wait it out. What's the "crowd" going to be like for that?1 point

It is pretty hard to be as bad as 2003 and 2019. I can easily see them losing 100 games, but I think they'll be better than that. I expect some of their hitters to improve as the year progresses and there should also be help from current minor leaguers later in the season.1 point

I don’t recall interacting with Brian Bluhm, as I joined the MTS board partway through the 2006 season and mostly lurked that season. But I remember that tragic day in 2007, I was attending an executive program at another campus in the northeast when the news broke.1 point

As a die-hard GOP guy for my entire life, Biden has been outstanding. He's restored regular order to most things the government does. He got us through COVID lockdowns, he has navigated Russia and China to a much better degree than any President could have been expected since HW Bush or Nixon (both famously foreign policy specialists). He smacked down the nonsense GOP plans to cut the most popular social safety net program that I paid into all my gd life. My negatives: He's older than I like. The degree to which people try to generate outrage against him is weird and artificial.1 point

Why is this here, in this forum, or in fact, anywhere? perhaps you might see to it to delete it yourself. If not, I will maybe later. (And I won’t be too happy about wasting time on this bull****). You get me?1 point

Smigel is such a genius. One of my favorite SNL sketches, which doesn't get much airplay is Sabra Price is Right. It's not available anywhere proper, like youtube or the SNL stuff on streaming. I had it recorded on a VHS from when it aired and it is on the Best of Tom Hanks DVD. A lot of the jokes made its way into "Don't mess with the Zohan". So many catch phrases from this were part of my lexicon. "Like Sony", "Toshiba Guts", "When did you drop it?", "Go talk to my wife",.... I don't know if people think its racist..... I live in Dearborn and I can tell you it's accurate as hell. Just a culture thing.1 point

Wow. 16 years. The worst day in the history of this community. I think about his family and how they will never have a "normal" day again.0 points

This might explain why Republicans are working to deliver American’s children into Russian hands: (Preemptive parenthetical statement: I posted this tweet from “FreedomRocks” not because they are influential, because they’re not so who the hell are they and why should anyone listen to what they have to say—but merely because this tweet provides a link to the article.)0 points
