Funny thing. That was a really smart and nice play by Sasser and we aren't even talking about the poor kid.2 points

The draft is always BPA regardless of your organization's current players. Also, my impression of Meadows is that he is the type of prospect you want to watch, but not one you pencil into the future starting lineup.1 point

But 32 yrs old. Jake seemed like a good guy and definitely a good glove, but you can't justify keeping an older journeyman on the roster as long as you still have younger guys that might still have upside you need to look at.1 point

I think it’s whether Meadows would be our CF of the future. If so, add the thump with Langford in RF. Maybe something else? @SoCalTiger I have a wish that we could field a really fast OF of Greene/Clark/Meadows -tracking down balls, but that may never happen.1 point

Very good interview with Scott Harris. He answered all of the questions with reasonable answers: https://www.audacy.com/971theticket/sports/detroit-tigers/detroit-tigers-scott-harris-on-javy-baez-spencer-torkelson1 point

I guess some of this is due to the vagueness of a simple ranking. There isn’t any way to discern the gaps between players. No tiers. I would put Clark and Keith in one tier and the rest in another. Plus the whole floor/ceiling thing and how close/injury possibility. Time to get back to playing the games and see how it all turns out. ⚾1 point

Jay Sborz Jay Sborz pitched 2/3 of an inning on June 22, 2010 as the Tigers were thumped 14-6 by the New York Mets in interleague action. Sborz, who had been recalled from Toledo earlier in the day, entered the game in the third inning in relief of an ineffective Justin Verlander and had an inauspicious start to his career as he hit the first two batters he faced (on consecutive pitches, no less). He then managed to induce a groundout and a strikeout (though it was Mets pitcher Jon Niese bunting foul), followed by three consecutive hits to Mets batters Jose Reyes, Angel Pagan, and David Wright. At that point, manager Jim Leyland had seen enough and went to the mound (presumably cursing under his breath (barely)) to retrieve the shell shocked Sborz. Two days later, Sborz returned to Toledo, never to be seen on a major league mound again, saddling him with a career ERA of 67.50. He did, however, make it on to several trading cards.1 point

I would put Jobe at #3 on raw materials alone...I would rank McGonigle in the top 5 and Anderson in the top 10 ahead of Dingler1 point

Has BCS ever won a single Emmy? I think they've been snubbed. To me, the biggest snub (they submit acting performances for single episodes) was Michael McKean in the Chicanery episode (his meltdown in Jimmy's hearing). He was so freaking brilliant in that episode. He wasn't even nominated. He was so good in that role. The same guy that played Lenny and David St. Hubbins in Spinal Tap played that soulless, jealous, scheming crank to perfection. (and, as we all know Chuck was 100% right about Jimmy). My guess is that Ms. Seehorn was nominated for the Waterworks episode. Geez, the Shuttle Scene alone would have been enough, but that whole episode she was brilliant. The only character in BCS that left it with a shot at redemption.1 point

This is going to bite the Detroit franchise in the ass before it hurts NY, LA or Boston...somehow1 point

This says it even better Did you know that one of the Detroit Tiger's draft choices made the list of US IC lowlifes. Bring him back so he can wipe out all these people who swore oaths to the Constitution so he can bring in people who swear oaths to him.1 point

Love the effort on the offensive glass at the 49 second mark. McCormack is 6'10" and 250 pounds. Ausar just outworks him. Then at 2m28s the steal and he just takes off like a rocket for the easy transition basket.1 point
-
Not that it's saying a whole lot but I think Ausar is already our best defender on the team outside of probably Stewart.1 point
