Leaving radio on your own terms is a rarity. I loved how honest he was about his weirdness. But maybe he's not your cup of tea, but let me tell you a Stoney story. When WDFN update person Sabrina Black, who was a friend of mine, got really sick, with leukemia, the fine folks at Clear Channel decided to fire her for missing so much time. Chemo and hospital stays will do that. Steve Black's (St. Steven of Clawson) insurance was already maxed out. Stoney and Wojo went to management and told them whatever her salary was, take it equally out of their pay to cover it so she can keep her job and her insurance. So if you don't like him on the air - always remember that about him. She passed away with one less worry. Talk about a Mensch3 points

Faust was the subject of an early episode of the Lost Ballparks podcast. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/nancy-faust-white-sox/id1602158620?i=1000552677238 From 1970-2010 Nancy Faust was the organist for the Chicago White Sox. She was a trailblazer who made music an integral part of the ballpark experience. When Harry Caray first sang "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" at Comiskey Park, Nancy was playing the organ for him. She was the first to play "Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye" as an opposing pitcher walked off the field or after a White Sox home run. She is a Chicago treasure!2 points

This thing with the White Sox. To me it isn't that they didn't trade for and draft good players, they did. Where they really screwed up was hiring LaRussa as the manager and not getting that clubhouse in order. They have the players. The right skipper turns it around. They don't need a new rebuild, they need a father figure. Who could that be? (a Jim Leyland type would be great. He'd be great if he was 15 years younger). Watch, they'll hire Joe Madden.1 point

India has landed a spacecraft on the moon. The fourth nation to do so and the first to do it on the south pole. They tried in 2019 but it failed.1 point

I saw this. My oldest loves giraffes, so I sent it to the family text. My wife said it looked like a deer. Now, I frequently see deer when I bicycle. I stop and take pictures and send them to the family text. But if I see a 7 foot tall deer, I am turning the bike around and pedaling as fast as I've ever pedaled (well, for that day anyway).1 point

That picture must have been taken during a 2003 home game.1 point

Twins are 5 up on Cleveland and 7 up on the Tigers. All have 36 games to go. Wild prediction: the Twins will finish 3rd in the AL Central this season. The collapse will be talked about for years.1 point

The one I remember best is Rusty Staub in the early 80's. He took a big swing and the ball hit him right in the knee. If I recall correctly, he argued the strike so much he was thrown out of the game.1 point
