Trevor Bauer, an a-hole who gleefully treated women like garbage publicly and privately, was the victim of an extortion plot. Other people in his situation would not have had the means to avoid either criminal or civil ramifications. Thankfully, the truth of that situation came out, but it does not change the fact that he's an a-hole who gleefully treated women like garbage publicly and privately.3 points

Drunk driver wrongly killed your sister. Inexcusable. Full stop. As a parent of a special needs daughter, hearing the president use the term he did to insult a governor is inexcusable. Full stop. Conflating those two things makes no sense at all.3 points

Cool story bro. My son has special needs. I condemn drunk driving. I condemn using the R word. Do you have the balls to condemn Donald Trump? Apparently not. Using your dead sister in an attempt to avoid criticizing your cult leader is a low never reached on this website.3 points

Drunk driving is bad. Pedophilia is bad. Even if the person doing either happens to agree with me politically on the issue at hand. Epstein trashing Trump in all those emails doesn't make him a good person.2 points

That sucked. We need more talent at WR.1 point

Third and long and they check it underneath again. Moore needs to get better WR recruits and a creative OC next season or he's done.1 point

Well all of our teams have lost since Thanksgiving, I had to get something going.1 point

The bipolarity of replay review drives me absolutely crazy. Calling that a touchback is the natural consequence of every prior decision in instant replay. But this particular crew on this particular Saturday decided to draw the line short of calling that a touchback. Why? Vibes.1 point

Can't blame Bryce when there's nobody getting open down the field.1 point

Superb job by the defense, notwithstanding getting gashed on the ground for what should have been a loss. No more stupid penalties either.1 point

In all honesty, he should have been ejected.1 point

I find the fascination with the 10 words so odd in groups of people that never come close to at least 4 of them.1 point

Duren had 5 TO's last night and Cade had 8. Team had 22 assists last night and Cade had 11 of them. LeVert who is being used as a secondary ball handler played 24 minutes with 0 assists. Ivey had 3 TO's in 10 minutes played.1 point

I would add that I believe a large portion of that ignorance is not blithe, but intentional.1 point

I'm surprised how well the boycott of Target has worked. They have been in decline ever since they gave in to Trump.1 point

Politicians are prone to be opportunistic and hypocritical. Republicans are too often the worst offenders. Let’s move on.1 point

WRT religion, there is a saying in the "Flashman" novels (guy is a soldier in the Victorian era British army who gets into comic/historical adventures, great stuff) that goes to effect of 'it doesn't pay to offend the local gods' which summarizes where I am with religion. Enjoy your rituals. Don't go out of your way to attack people for theirs. When people make it their business to control your life based on theirs, that is where there is a problem. The Western tradition is a humanist tradition based in part on the idea of Law (from Judaism) and the rights and protection of the individual (Christianity) with many great variations which would amuse anyone studying our planet from afar. We ended slavery because a bunch of evangelicals in Clapham, London with crazy notions insisted that the British end the slave trade and eventually the seeds of abolition took over the Northern US churches. We desegregated because the modern left and the humanist churches decided that the value of all human life was worth more than what the segregationist fools in the South wanted. We fail in these things often (slavery and racism) but at least there is a schematic structure most people understand. There are people who want to be good out there trying to be good. It doesn't take religion to be good. Religion is a rock to those who need comfort. I will probably ask God to smite Ohio State today but it won't be why what happens happens.1 point

Isn’t one of the anti-Christ’s talents supposed to be getting unaware Christians to follow him? Isn’t that what the fable says?1 point

She’s from MN. LOL. It’s gold trying to call out stupidity when you can’t even get the godamned state right. Go back to the sticks or wherever the **** it is you come from.1 point

Ben did this because Weiner Circle said they'd give free hot dogs to everyone if he did. Ben is just giving the people what they want.1 point

Why? I hate to break it to you but the Lions wont be making the playoffs. I would much rather see the Bears win the division over the Packers.1 point

The union will fight against any settlement for less money not to protect Rendon's retirement nut, per se, but to prevent that kind of precedent from affecting other clients.1 point
