  1. I thought Mahomes extension kicked in so I had him Brady,Stafford, Jimmy G,Rodgers and Tannehill.
  2. I saw some of the radio talking heads bringing up that fact as a way to justify drafting a qb but that's just this year, how about last year when 5 of the last 6 qbs werent on rookie deals and were expensive including the SB champs? Or the year before that where the 2 SB teams were high dollar qbs? Things change year to year in the NFL so just cause this year 3 out of the 4 are on rookie deals it doesn't mean that is the way its always going to be
  3. Yeah I can't comment on his salary or how that effects his value but I think in a vacuum as a player he is easily worth a 1st rounder. He's arguably the very best at a high valued position and is still relatively young having just turned 28 2 months ago. Should have atleast 3 elite seasons left in him and probably another 2 or 3 after that of good ones.
  4. As I said before I don't know the salary cap situation nor how he is in the locker room(Goff played with him so I'm sure he can have input there) but as an actual player he'd be my number 1 target this offseason. If it took our first or a future first Id be all for it if it doesnt cripple us salary cap wise going forward.
  5. I'd have Hutch behind Sauce for sure and possibly Woolen. Hutch was elite in the second half and if he played that way the whole season he'd definitely have a strong case but Sauce was elite all year and has a case to not only being DROY but DPOY in general, he was that good.
  6. I know the past doesn't mean anything in the future with this franchise but when was the last time the Lions took a guy with questionable medicals and it didn't end up biting them in the ass? Legit question cause I really don't know, could be an obvious name I'm forgetting about.
  7. I believe the Lions also throw to their rbs more than other teams as well so just another reason they don't put as much emphasis on a TE that runs short to intermediate routes.
  8. Hell Id rather take Levis than Mayer.
  9. The Pack are reportedly looking for 2 1sts for Rodgers, Im pretty sure the Jets owner would gladly pay that. If Rodgers would be willing to play for NY that could be a great match since they gave some promising young weapons and a stout defense.
  10. We're only a few weeks away from spring training which means the fluff pieces will be starting shortly, my prediction is Tork either gets the first one or will have the most. It will be written that he corrected whatever was wrong with him and is barreling up and driving balls like he did in college and early in the minors.
  11. It probably wouldn't have mattered anyway but Dalton Schultz first lazily heading to the sidelines resulting in him going backwards keeping the clock running then 2 plays later not even bothering to put his second foot down on the catch were two plays I would be super pissed off about if I was a Cowboys fan. At the very least they probably would've atleast been in hail mary range if he didn't half ass those two plays in the freaking divisional round of the playoffs.
  12. I see the Lions are already running season ticket ads for next season during the games today, probably a smart move on their part.
  13. On the other side you got Robbie Gould for SF who has never missed a single playoff kick in his life, he's something like 75/75 on FG/PATs in his playoff career. Incredible!
  14. I don't think so. I know they brought in another kicker during the week but I don't think he is activated. Maybe their punter can kick FGs?
  15. He was lucky it was blocked cause looking at slo mo replay that was duck hooked right off his foot, wouldn't have been close to going in even if it didn't get blocked. Definitely has the yips at the absolute worst time to develop them. Poor guy.
  16. The original Travis Kelce!
  17. Definitely a physical freak at CB!
  18. You just love to see it! BTW Yeah as a Lions fan I would love to have only gotten that 1 Superbowl appearance but considering how many chances Rodgers and the Packers had to get there only to come away with just 1 appearance is pretty sad/unbelievable.
  19. I have no idea how it will work from a salary cap perspective but without knowing how his contract would effect us I would gladly trade the 18th pick for Ramsey. Ramsey is at the very least top 3 at his position and perhaps the very best, he is one of those rare game changers on defense. He turned 28 in the end of October so he's not exactly young for his position but he's not old either, should have 3-4 more years of prime football left and if he ages like Darius Slay could be longer than that. The odds of us getting that type of return with the 18th pick is pretty small even if you take into account Holmes' drafting ability.
  20. Hearing that the NFL is considering making neutral conference championship sites the norm. That would be the Lions luck, they finally get good enough to where they can host a conference championship only for the NFL to do away with it.
  21. Simpson sounds like the type of guy that could make an immediate impact on the defense, those are the players I'm looking for since we're so close to taking that next step.
  22. Nfl.com put out their new mock and they have us taking Witherspoon at 6 and Trent Simpson LB out of Clemson at 18. I love Witherspoon but really haven't paid much attention to Simpson but I wouldn't be opposed to drafting somebody to put next to Rodrigo.
  23. I mentioned before what I like about Richardson is the thought of using him in RPO sets for the first couple years as sorta a change of pace qb from Goff. I think it could take the offense to even greater heights. Of course the problem is you can't use a 1st on a guy that is only going to be doing that, if you take him with a first you have to be banking on him replacing Goff in a couple years.
  24. Richardson was playing with an undermanned team in the SEC with receivers who couldn't get any separation. Very few college qbs can complete passes at a high rate when their receivers can't get open. Fields played with NFL quality receivers in a lesser conference who gave him a broad side of a barn type window to hit which explains the disparity in completion percentage.
