  1. Watch Miggy get a hit in his first AB and everyone celebrates only for the game to get called shortly after so the hit doesn't end up counting.
  2. I'm thankful for Jordan Poole hitting the shot to send UM to the sweet sixteen but boy now that he isn't on a team that I root for I realize how punchable looking he is. With that said he has transformed himself into a good player albeit with a punchable face.
  3. He's only pitched like 10 innings but Dylan Smith's numbers have been pretty impressive thus far. I think he could be a guy that could move pretty fast through the system if things go right.
  4. If we can take 2 of 3 from the Rockies that would bring us to 7-8 for the first 15 games. Considering the injuries and how poor the bats have been(assuming they don't break out this weekend) that would be a pretty decent result. You're going to have tough stretches throughout the year but the key is to tread water during those stretches and not drown like we did last year in April when things were going bad. For instance If we would've went 15-17 instead of 9-23 at the start of last year we would have been in the playoff hunt in September.
  5. Whoa the meteoric rise of Brieske continues!
  6. DK or Brown are the two WRs I would love to get if they came available. I think they fit the Lions need to a T, can play the outside, a threat for the deep ball and can come down with the 50/50 balls. If we could get either for one of 32 or 34 and maybe a later pick this draft or a future 2nd or 3rd I would jump all over that. Id be hesitant to give up both 32 and 34 though cause Id like to address another need with that pick this year.
  7. Its only a 1 game difference but 5-7 looks so much more respectable than 4-8.
  8. If our rotation wasn't in such shambles Id suggest moving Pineda to the pen so he could fill the all important role of oversized reliever.
  9. Nice, can't remember if it was yesterday or Tuesday but he was throwing some nasty sliders to Judge. They almost looked like cutters with how tight they were and the velo of them.
  10. People were predicting TJ for Sale the day he was drafted and he went over 10 years without it happening, hopefully if it does happen to Mize that will be the case with him too.
  11. Can Samuel line up on the outside or is he more of a slot guy cause what the Lions really need is that x receiver that can play way wide of the line of scrimmage?
  12. I remember when Schoop signed that extension many folks including myself thought the Tigers got a solid deal and that Schoop probably could've gotten more if he waited till the offseason but he is showing that he knew what he was doing. He's in the .600s OPS wise since the extension and I'd imagine below replacement level. If he never signed that extension there's a good chance he's being used at best as a utility guy on a 1 year deal on somebody's bench.
  13. Assuming nothing major happens to him injury wise between now and when he is a FA at the end of next season he very well could set the record for biggest contract in American Sports history.
  14. Just the 2nd time Miggy has scored from 1st on a double since 2015. I would say despite him running like he has a piano on his back that I still find that surprising given the park he plays in but I suppose most of the gappers that he could score on from 1st end up being triples and not doubles.
  15. HIttin Harold comes through in the clutch with a 2 run triple to tie it up!
  16. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33773946/dwayne-haskins-told-wife-was-walking-get-gas-prior-being-struck-killed-dump-truck-911-audio-reveals According to his wife, Haskins called her to tell her he was getting out of his car to get gas, when she didn't hear back from him she called 911.
  17. Harold with a good at bat but ends in a lineout then Black Hole Barnhart comes up and gets sent down on 3 pitches, the last 2 looked like he was swinging a block of lead.
  18. Haven't turned it on yet but it sounds like they're not playing the game the right way.
  19. Not sure if I would even want Deebo if all he wants to do is play WR again. A big part of his value was being able to be elusive out of the back field while being strong enough to absorb the punishment. If you take that part of his game away suddenly he isn't so special.
  20. If I knew we could get a 1st for Decker I wouldn't mind going OT here and having another 1st in a future draft but I'm just not sure we would get that much for Decker. For simplicity Id rather have Decker and one of the pass rushers at 2 than Neal and the mid round pick that I'm projecting you would get for Decker.
  21. The main concern I have about Willis is that he was only a 3 star recruit who didn't get a ton of offers from major schools, the one he did in Auburn he transferred from cause he wasn't good enough, then instead of transferring to a higher profile school he had to settle for Liberty cause nobody else wanted him. Guys with that type of background rarely succeed in the NFL.
  22. Of course most of us wanted Winslow but there were many that had Booker at 1B, almost nobody wanted Stanley iirc so its not like one of those picks that get panned only in hindsight, that was hated from the get go.
  23. Lol yeah same here, I have no real scouting ability so any guy I like I'm just basing off scouting reports of others and trying to decipher myself how they would fit for the Lions and their needs.
  24. If Cine or Hill are available at 32 or 34 they would definitely be my pick. Again my dream outcome short of trading down would be one of the pass rushers at 2 then Cine/Hill and Pickens at 32 and 34(doesnt have to be that order you could take Pickens at 32.)
  25. Dating back to when he signed his contract extension I don't think I personally have seen Schoop do anything good with the bat.
