Oh yeah good point, forgot about that.

I want to be excited about Meadows but until he does this in AA I'm going to temper my expectations. This is his 3rd season in West Michigan so I would hope he'd dominate it, if he goes to Erie and impresses I will then start to get a little excited.

The bad news is that we haven't played particularly well thus far, the good news is that despite not playing particularly well yet we're only 3-4, I think for us and any team for that matter it's important to just "tread water" when things aren't going well.

Did Miggy always play with earrings on before or is this a new thing? After 15 years of watching him you'd think I would know but they just look different on him so it has me wondering if its a new look.

Singuel looking like he want's to get to 3000 this weekend.

Seeing Miguel in the batters box against Greinke with the Royals is giving total 2010ish vibes.

I want I think I'm in a similar boat except I like Pickens more than Watson. Getting Cine and him would be my dream scenario for 32 and 34.

Yeah I think Hill was definitely are last superstar atleast in a national sense. Locals say Ben or Chauncey but they were never viewed that way on a national sense. At one point you could make a case that Grant was the most famous non Bulls player in the NBA outside of maybe Shaq. Iirc Grant actually was the top vote better in the ASG a couple times.

Barring a major setback to Cade or us getting extremely lucky in the lottery and jumping like 10 spots I think this will be the last year we pick in the top 5 range for awhile so Im hoping we hit a home run here. The guy doesn't have to be a superstar but I feel he needs to atleast be an All Star caliber guy if we're going to eventually want to take that next step in a couple years.

Damn that's some Detroit Lions luck/karma right there.

My guess is that they wanted to reward a 7 or 8 seed with atleast one "playoff" home game. Edit: after rereading your suggestion they would both get home games as well so I guess there goes my theory.

This is what gives me hope, granted if the injury saps all his athleticism then even the best coaching isn't going to help him but if he can get back to atleast near where he was athletically I have hope this coaching staff can make something out of him.

Actually the Clippers aren't eliminated yet. The loser of the 7-8 game plays the winner of the 9-10 and whomever wins that gets the 8 seed. So the Clippers will be at home Friday against the winner of tonight's Spurs/Pelicans game and the winner of that game will get the 8 seed.

It would be even sexier if you spelt it with a k though.

One step closer to the playoffs!

Nice to see the bats wake up for a couple innings atleast.

Tork is just like another 1b we took early in the draft Tony Clark, only hits homers in low leverage situations.
-
The GOAT Clayton Kershaw(grew up with Matthew Stafford btw) had a perfecto going through 7 with 13Ks against the Twins only to get pulled cause he wasn't completely stretched out. He was only at 80 pitches too so if he was stretched out he easily was on track to finish.
-
That would be nice, Im not writing him off just yet despite the injury cause in recent years it seems that achilles injuries aren't the death sentence for athletes they once were but until he comes back and shows atleast some promise on the field Im not gonna count on him either. To me if he hits his draft day potential or even comes close that would be like found money.

Rams are reportedly in close contact with Stephen Gilmore, I swear they are exhibit A in terms of proving the NFL Cap is meaningless.
-
As far as Sauce goes, I do like the idea of pairing him Oru and having a potential lethal combo of corners but ultimately I think we have a more pressing need for a pass rusher.
-
Hock was also labeled by some scouts as the best blocking TE they have ever scouted which is a big reason why he was drafted where he was. I don't know how much he did this past year but I know under the previous regime he stayed home and blocked alot more than your average TE so to just compare his receiving output isn't exactly fair to him when he is asked to do other things.

I don't recall hardly any Burns love but I could be wrong, I will give you the other two but in the case of Sweat it was mainly due to his combine which like Walker this year gave some folks trepidation about him. Oliver was the main guy people were complaining about passing on though

Btw what did you guys think of think of Minny celebrating like they won the championship? I seen them get mocked big time over it and I can understand that view point but I'm ok with it given the situation. This has been a long suffering franchise and fanbase, couple that with the team having a lot of young players that haven't accomplished much in the NBA and I'll give them a pass for the exaggerated celebration.
