  1. Some folks are speculating that NO is positioning themselves to try to move up and grab a qb this year. Would you take their 2 firsts and their 2nd(49 overall) for number 2? Birkett says that according to the ole chart that is a little light but if you don't really love anybody at 2 and want to pick up extra capital perhaps you would be willing to "lose" the trade according to what you normally expect to get.
  2. Great data and list, it appears that with a couple exceptions like Giannis and Steph you're not going to get yourself a defacto number 1 All NBA guy in the mid to late lottery but you still can get All Star caliber guys. With us hoping that Cade can be our All NBA getting one of those All Star caliber players would be perfectly fine with me.
  3. Damn I love that trade for the Eagles. Let's cross out the 19th and 18th pick for simplicity sake. They essentially traded the 16th for a likely higher 1st next year, a 3rd and a 2nd. Even though the 2nd is 2 years away its still a big asset. Also with 3 1sts this draft they could afford to give up one now for one in the future this way they don't put all their eggs in one basket in this draft. They will now be in prime position to move up and take a qb next year if/ when Hurts fails.
  4. All Campos does is hit HRs.... when he isn't locked away in some secret location.
  5. Seems like Willi smelled blood in the water in terms of making the team with Greene getting hurt, has a HR today pushing his OPS to near 1.000.
  6. Yup, Id rather have 6 innings of shutout or 1 run ball than 7 of 2 or 3 if the extra pitches from Ks produces the 1st outcome so be it.
  7. Nice to see Campos get freed from whatever dungeon AA has been hiding him in and joining the outside world.
  8. Just got to take it one game at a time and remember that the division cant be won in April but it can certainly be lost there.
  9. You can never have too many weapons in the NFL so if they could get Robinson for their 4th I wouldn't be against it assuming they got the outside receiver with 32 or 34. Two WR in 4 rounds may seem excessive given all the holes on the team but the NFL nowadays is built on offense and playmakers so like I said you can never have too many weapons in the NFL. I should've prefaced it with I personally don't know how he is going to fair in the NFL cause I haven't watched him much at all since until now he wasn't on my radar cause like others I was looking at bigger receivers but if Holmes and Co. were to draft him they obviously would be believers which in turn would make me one.
  10. Wordle 288 4/6 ⬜🟨⬜⬜🟨 ⬜⬜⬜🟩🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 The third guess was big time, had a ton of different options but had a gut feeling about the one I went with, wasn't right but it made the answer a formality.
  11. Welp Pistons pull it off 121-117 now just 2 games up on the Pacers with 4 to play. Casey tried to lose, aside from Grant being out with injury he sat Cade and Bagley(not sure if injured), then proceeded to essentially sit Bey, Stewart and Killian for most of the 2nd half but unfortunately it just wasn't enough. Pistons stalwarts like *checks notes* Carsen Edwards and Braxton Key would not let them take the L. I'm not as invested in the tank job this year due to the class and actually don't mind winning if its cause of players that are going to be a part of our future like Cade, Bey, Killian etc. but when it's cause of guys we picked up all the scrap heap that likely aren't going to be a part of anything I'd rather just take the loss.
  12. Bey is playing really well, 32 points on 11-18 shooting with 2 minutes left in the 3rd but I just saw him airball a finger roll. I don't think I have ever seen that before.
  13. Not necessarily advocating for Robinson but I think it's fair to point out for a receiver like him height is really meaningless. I mean it's not like you are throwing jump or 50/50 balls to them. Their whole skillset is getting open away from defenders where size doesn't matter and then creating damage in the open field.
  14. In honor of playing at Indy we have to show the greatest Pistons moment there...no not Tayshaun's block but it does involve him.
  15. Baddoo with another homer off a lefty, this one of the oppo variety to tie it up at 3!
  16. As long as Hinchie has the troops playing the game the right way they will fine.
  17. I always hated Coach K but I think Buddha may have me beat.lol With that said I hate Carolina almost as much so I didn't get to take much solace in his defeat. It's pretty bad when I find myself rooting for Kansas and Bill Self to win over the other teams in the Final Four.
  18. I think it was Cody Stavenhagen that wrote that he talked to a couple Sports Doctors(not necessarily ones affiliated with the Tigers) and they said as long as there isn't any setbacks this injury typically takes 6-8 weeks to heal for athletes. I've seen NFL players return from supposed fractured foots even sooner though.
  19. Our old friend Justin Upton was just DFA'd by the Angels, would he be somebody to look at?
  20. I probably should go back and double check before saying this but IIRC the Tigers pitchers out pitched their peripherals by quite a bit, something like a half a run or so. Now that could be a product of improved scouting and defensive positioning, location on pitches to induce weaker contact or just flat out luck. If it's the latter and their run prevention regresses to what their peripherals suggested that is going to hurt us in a big way. You're talking about an 80 run difference over the course of the season so I think that is the main reason why projections are down on the team.
  21. Gotta love when that happens, I took a swing with my third guess and while it wasn't the right answer it essentially made the final answer a gimme for me. Wordle 287 4/6 ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  22. I've seen a couple new mocks now have the Seahawks trading up with the Giants at 5 to grab Willis with the offer of number 9, a 2nd and either a 3rd or 4th. Would you take that if they offered that to us or would you want atleast a future 1st to fall back that far?
  23. I didn't think of the Oklahoma connection at first, perhaps Casey wanted to give any potential Oklahoma State fans that may have paid to see Cade atleast some action from him? IDK it's not a big deal either way just strange to see that he would even bother playing him for like 7 minutes. Seems like you'd just give him the whole game off.
  24. It sucks but as long as it isn't something that lingers throughout the year or effects his performance it shouldn't be that big of deal. It's hard to put a real timetable on it without knowing what bone it is in his foot and how severe the fracture is but I've seen NFL players come back from a fractured foot in under a month. Of course the Tigers aren't going to rush him back and the month timeline is the best case scenario, there have certainly been situations that took longer but the optimist in me is thinking he will be ready to join the team by Mid May which isn't all that bad. It just sucks though cause the Tigers had such little margin for error when it comes to being legit contenders, they needed everything to go right so starting off the year with something like this doesn't help things at all. Perhaps we'll get lucky and somebody like Reyes will put together a hot month or so to offset the loss.
