Atta boy Broncos!

Better than not getting the TD at all but yeah not feeling too good about leaving them that much time.

Sutton is a beast, would've loved to have gotten him in a trade.

Week Eleven: Chicago Bears (3-7) @ Detroit Lions (7-2)

Also saw this on twitter. Sounds like a good dude. -
Yeah you just get that feeling that Dobbs is going to be a major problem when we face them.
-
I mean the one WR literally had to run 40 yards to the far side of the field to get lined up, if you knew that he was going to have to do that why not call a TO? There's no way you can line up quickly when you got to do that.

It's funny how things can change, all year the talk has mostly been about how we have the easiest road to a division title due to there being no other competition in the North but if Minnesota wins they will be 7-4 with only Cleveland and Dallas having better records as 2nd place teams.

I have to admit I turned it off when they got down 12 to go run to the grocery store. Didn't even bother listening to the radio on the way there cause I just felt like it wasn't their day. Come home and turn on the news and was pleasantly surprised to hear "And the Lions pull it off at Ford Field today and keep on rolling." Funny thing was the same thing happened last year when the Lions were down to Chicago at Soldier Field. Gave up on it to do other things only for the Lions to make the comeback. -

Yeah that would have been a pick 6 for the "Same old Lions". -

Sorry I made the mistake of posting a link that showed Goff being number 1 in some advanced metric, of course by me highlighting that Goff was naturally going to play like crap first chance he got. -

The Eagles have given up 31 points to the freaking Commanders TWICE this year, lost to the Jets, they "held" Dallas to 23 but the Cowboys gained over 400 yards and pretty much moved the ball at will only to fail in the RZ due to mistakes. Easily could've been 35+ points. They did hold Miami to 17 but Miami was playing without their game breaking RB Devon Achne and Mostert was limited to 9 carries. So if we don't get credit for the KC game due to Kelce being injured then the Eagles should get an asterisk for that one. Not trying to say the Lions are better just saying that if we are going to nitpick everything about the Lions you can do that for all the other contenders as well. -

https://theathletic.com/5067859/2023/11/17/nfl-quarterback-reliability-rankings-week-10?source=user-shared-article For those that don't have the Athletic, Goff is ranked number 1 here since the start of last season being worth 7.2 WAR in their formula. -

Im almost positive he is staying but hypothetically if they made him a Godfather offer to go there would we get any sorta compensation since he is under contract to us? I know if it was an NFL team we would like Denver had to with Payton and the Bucs did with Gruden years ago but wasn't sure about with college teams. Like would we get rewarded picks like you would if a FA left? Not like that would make up for losing him just overall curious about what would happen. -

Kinda on the subject but one of my favorite "kickers are people too" moments was with Pat Mcafee and this ex NFfLer who's name foresakens me. The former player was kinda giving friendly jabs to Pat about how punters aren't football players to which Pat responded with something like "In my NFL career I thrown a TD pass, caught a TD pass, rushed for a first down, made TD saving tackles, kicked field goals, kicked off and punted, have you done all those things?" Of course the guy had no response, total 'drop the mic' moment. -

I don't know why but I always love it when teams acknowledge kickers/punters so it was cool to see Riley get the game ball. I think I just feel kinda bad for them cause it feels like they only get noticed when they screw up so it makes me smile when they get recognition from the team when they do well. -
This, granted they shouldn't look as bad as they did against Lamar Jackson but for the most part it is to be expected to struggle against the elite qbs cause those guys excel against everybody. If they only performed well against bad defenses then they wouldn't get treated and paid the way they do.

I mean I didn't think the O line looked bad before but I just didnt feel they looked as dominant as some of the metrics and people would say about them.... until last week. To me that was a truly dominant performance in all aspects up front and if they are going to play like that now that they are all healthy then this offense is going to be hard to stop despite the boat anchor Ben Johnson at offensive coordinator. -
Watson undergoing season ending shoulder injury, the Browns are still in the thick of things but boy that trade and insuing contract is looking like an all timer.
-
Not that power rankings mean a whole lot but depending on which ones you look at the NFC has 4 of the top 5. Just pointing that out cause all year the narrative was that the NFC was wide open and the AFC was much tougher but with teams like Buffalo, Cincy and Jax not being as good as many suspected maybe it's the NFC that is actually the tougher conference, atleast at the top anyway.

Yeah that doesnt sound good, I thought the original prognosis was 8 to 10 weeks which would've put him in line for around Thanksgiving? -
Assuming Johnson bolts in the offseason I wouldn't mind giving Dorsey at look at OC, as mentioned I don't think he was the real problem there.

I was 13 months old soooo I don't remember that game even though knowing my Dad I'm sure I was sitting there watching it with him. Lol -
The Bills are such an enigmatic team, their talent, stats and scoring margin suggest they should be a 1 or 2 loss team but instead they may only be a .500 team by the end of the night.

Yeah for all the talk about how great the O line is and how many future pros they have to me they haven't looked overly impressive this year atleast in the run game. It seems like there haven't been nearly the amount of runs this year where the running backs are 5-6 yards past the line of scrimmage before even getting touched as there was the previous 2 years. The rare times they have broke off a big run this year have been due to the running back making a move against the grain and not cause the o line really blowing open a giant hole for them.
