  1. Just like that Evan Brown signs in Seattle.
  2. He fits that Evan Brown profile but $4.5m seems like a lot for a backup G/C.
  3. Nice terms. They will need 2 guards somewhere assuming that Vaitai and Evan Brown aren’t coming back.
  4. I don’t see teams releasing star players in the future after the Diaz season ending injury.
  5. The driving issue was the least of his problems with NFL teams. The prior whispers about love of football and work ethic, the added weight post-combine and the terrible pro day workout are much bigger red flags. I wouldn’t take him off the board but he’s moved down to a day 3 guy.
  6. Miller is still an interesting case. It looks as if the biased local authorities won’t bring charges, but there’s going to be a civil case from the victims family. There will be discovery and it will include the entire text exchanges before during and after. Everyone will know if his story that he was an innocent mule who had no idea what was happening was true or if he indeed knew exactly what he was doing when he delivered the murder weapon. It’s going to be a big problem if he lied and is later found to be an accomplice to murder. The challenge is that none of this happening prior to draft day and will create a huge gamble for whoever drafts him.
  7. I’d offer the 6th round pick they gave us in the Trinity Benson debacle.
  8. Two poor decisions and two important lessons learned that likely won’t be repeated by either in the future.
  9. Gene just can quit that Russian money.
  10. I don’t look at Walter Football anymore. I can’t get over that god awful UI/UX from 2011 that he refuses to change.
  11. Don’t see Anderson making it to us, think they pass on Carter for all the baggage, and it’s such a deep draft at corner that I think they find one they really like after round 1.
  12. Lions have to trade Swift now so Montgomery can wear #32. Talk about an awkward situation for the head equipment guy.
  13. I think it locks in either Tyree Wilson or Lukas Van Ness at 6.
  14. This is how I feel. Montgomery also seems like Jamaal. His teammates love him and he’s been a fan favorite with a super positive attitude.
  15. if they draft a back in round 1 or 2 expect them to trade Swift sometime on day 2 for a 4th rounder.
  16. I’ve done too many drugs with random people I just met to pass judgement on anyone else’s poor decisions as a youth.
  17. Saying he’s on track to be ready for training camp is way different than saying it was a minor injury and won’t have any impact on him going forward. I hope it’s the case because he’s going to be a great pickup if he stays healthy. I have my doubts though.
  18. They should draft Carter at 6 and immediately send him on a 3 day darkness retreat to cabin in Oregon. That should fix everything.
  19. His own agent couldn’t have sold it better.
  20. Moseley has missed 22 games the past 3 years and is now coming off ACL. I like the gamble but any plans for him next season should be written in pencil and come with a contingency plan.
  21. Moseley is a lottery ticket to me. Nothing bad about him but I’m not counting on much. Even if he plays well, he seems destined to get injured. If we are lucky and he can beat the odds and stay healthy, he’s a definite upgrade. Worth the shot. I also assume the 1 year deal for Will Harris doesn’t guarantee much and means he still has to earn a roster spot. I still see them drafting a corner but probably not in round 1 anymore.
  22. It’s probably from the Twitter accounts of Iain Rappoport and Alan Scheftter
  23. So so wrong. The entire thing is weighted based on which round the picks are in. The Cardinals spent 26% of draft capital the last 5 years on QB. This doesn’t mean they drafted 8 QBs. They drafted 2 but both were in the top 10 overall. What the hell does it matter whether a player made the team or was a pro bowler. It’s only measuring what position teams have emphasized on draft day.
  24. Not at all. I got a ton of value finding out what the NFL average was over 5 years at each position. Don’t tell me that you knew that WR the position that NFL teams invested the most draft capital on the last 5 years. The Eagles spent 27% of their draft capital on WR. Cardinals 26% and Jets 20% trying to find a QB.
