    feldman loves michigan. they give him a lot of access. that said, this michigan team has few obvious question marks (depth at corner and potentially offensive tackle) and has harbaugh's usual pansy ooc schedule. they have 3 games on the schedule that should be tough: at penn state, at michigan state, and ohio state at home. it would be a big disappointment to lose more than one game if jj stays healthy. the expectation should be 12-0.

    say what you want about okc - and i hate how they've tanked - but they havr found a lot of diamonds in the rough, and have found guys like sga and josh giddey with picks that werent #1. meanwhile troy took killian, traded for saddiq and stewart, and hasnt found anyone worth a damn in round 2. we'll see if cade works out. ivey and duren look promising, but dude....20(ish) games for 3 straight years? that's awful.

    i really dont care if aj hinch gets replaced or not. no manager would win with this collection of **** talent. but i do think he's in tune with the new way in which baseball is moving, and i like that about him. if they bring in someone else, i would expect that person to have the same focus. i dont care about the astros thing, just like i dont care about aaron boone or joey cora or any of the other managers whose teams were stealing signs (like the 1940 tigers...).

    the idea that all hinch had to do was leave lange in the game and we win is silly. we dont know what would have happened if he left lange in. and if he did and lange got bombed it would be "why did he leave lange in for 2 innings when he normally works only one? hinch is teh stupidest." what we DO know is that what hinch did do didnt work. and because he's the boss, he deserves his share of the blame for that.

    leyland's talented players did well. so did hinch's.

    leyland won a world series with a team of free agent mercenaries in florida. he never won another. hinch had three teams win more than 100 games in a season. jim leyland never won 100 games. if anything, leyland's teams in detroit continually underachieved. and like i said, when leyland was managing teams with poor talent, he lost a ton of games and then quit on colorado and florida.

    aj hinch has a better managerial record than jim leyland. as soon as leyland had a team with a bunch of bad players on it, he quit.

    good night cindy. penguins fans talk a lot of ****, but their organization has benefitted from getting top 3 picks during transformational drafts (lemieux, jagr, crosby, malkin), other than that theyve been garbage

    i will forever regard chris illitch as incompetent for his keeping avila in that job once his dad died. it seemed obvious to every outsider that he was awful at his job. the idea that he was going to build a modern analytics department is laughable. and we see the results now. him picking jobe because he found out about "spin rate" that year is al's last laugh on the organization.

    why do you think it would take 6 and 18 to get to 3?

    how do you know the guy at 3 will be the #3 qb on everyone's board? or that teams wouldnt move up to get that? the niners moved up to take the third qb off the board just a few years ago. the bears moved up to take the 4th qb off the board the same year. im not advocating that the lions do that, but it does happen.

    it is almost a certainty that paredes would not have developed here the way he has in tampa bay. that organization is well run and develops its players well. the tigers under al avila were a garbage organization at all levels. only mike illitch's money and dave dombrowski's magic made the team good. remember all the articles about al revamping the organization and bringing in analytics? lol. that worked real well.
