  1. The irony of this image going viral on the same day that Trump signs an Executive Order banning states from regulating AI is chefs kiss. There will be many more of these to come I am sure.
  2. Don't forget Mazi Smith with a gun charge. How Warde Maunel still has a job is both disgraceful and embarrassing for the university. No one can defend Warde at this point. He needs to go.
  3. Not that having Joel Klatt agree with you is the be all, end all. It is not. However, I'm in complete agreement with Klatt that Michigan's first call should be to Cignetti and the university should make him say no. And if he does, then you simply move on to other coaches on your list. That's why you have a list of many candidates, not just one. From Klatt yesterday . . . "I understand that he just signed an extension, but listen, are we really that naive to think that, 'After the extension is signed and you coach for a year, then we can start ripping up contracts,'" Klatt said. "It's just legal jargon, so all the coaches that signed extensions, I would at least have them in the pool, because why limit your own pool? So force Cignetti to say 'No.'"
  4. Once again, my belief the division winners shouldn't get automatic playoff births is rearing the ugly side of its head. This time it could have a major negative impact on The Lions. After Tampa lost to Atlanta yesterday, there is a real chance that the winner of the NFC South has a losing record. However, that team will still get a playoff spot. This is BS! There's a real shot that an 8-9 Buccaneers or Panthers team makes it in, while an 11-6 or 12-5 Lions team (or someone else) is left out. Just because you win a garbage ass division, by getting to play a bunch of bad teams twice on your schedule, doesn't mean you should get an automatic playoff birth. It's pathetic that the NFC South gets a team in, while a team with a winning record playing in one of the clearly superior NFC North and NFC West divisions, might not get in. Overall record should matter more than winning a crappy division. I'll never change my mind on this.
  5. I know Petersen doesn't meet the requirement of being a Michigan Man. Ladies and gentleman, we'd like to welcome our new Head Coach and Michigan Man through and through, Ron English. In all seriousness, I'm not pining for Petersen, all I said is I wouldn't be mad if he got an interview since his name was brought up earlier by someone else. I think there are several candidates that could get interviews. Petersen wouldn't be the worst of the bunch. I've seen people and media outlets suggesting Jeff Brohm, Dan Mullen, Manny Diaz, Butch Jones, Lance Leipold, Matt Patricia. LOL, Petersen would be as good or better an option than any of those.
  6. I wouldn't be angry if they at least interviewed Chris Petersen but think they could do better. Petersen had a lot of success at Bosie and then did well at Washington too with a 12 win season and multiple 10 win seasons. My main issue with him is that he has been out of coaching for 5 years and has never coached in the NIL era. He may also not want to come back to coaching period as he retired due to burnout I believe. Back when they had hired Hoke, Petersen was one of the guys I wanted here at Michigan. He was near the top of my list and I certainly wanted him over Hoke. I think that era and this are completely different and Petersen has never coached in the modern NIL era and that matters.
  7. At this point, first and foremost, I hope Sherrone is OK and those around him are not harmed either. This is a very real situation involving other human beings. I hope no one ends up getting harmed or Sherrone harming himself.
  8. How Warde survives all this is amazing, but somehow I think he'll manage to survive. He deserves to be fired though too.
  9. I like this one. Dilingham has some a real nice job at a second tier school at Arizona State. He seems to be both a competent in game coach and a good recruiter too.
  10. So is this a sexual assault case now?
  11. Should Jesse Minter get an interview? If he's not waiting around for an NFL job I think so.
  12. It specifically says not Connor Cook on the handle lol
  13. We don't even know though that Penn State tried do we? What media reports leaked out saying that Penn State went after Cignetti and was rejected?
  14. HOLY F****** S***! I did not see this coming. Why did they wait to late to do it? In any case GO. GET. CIGNETTI.
  15. You know this is likely what's happening. Our risk adverse GM has only made one major trade during his tenure and that was for DeBrincat. I see Hughes going somewhere besides Detroit. I hope we can land him though.
  16. If Vancouver was willing to trade Hughes to us, but said they wanted one of Kasper or Danielson in return, who would you rather trade away?
  17. The dude is Shawn Kemp, except they all have the same mother.
  18. Yes. Lander is a practicing Jew as well. I guess he's not the right type of Jew though because he isn't a Zionist through and through.
  19. He's being primaried by, wait for it . . . Another Jew in Brad Lander.
  20. I know TE can be a tough position because you have to learn the block scheme, route combinations, and the playbook all at once. So signing a TE off the street might not be feasible. If it is at all feasible, both Gerald Everett and Hayden Hurst are still free agents. I don't know if it's worth giving one of them a shot for now?
  21. Former New York Mayoral candidate Brad Lander is set to take on Congressman Dan Goldman in New York's 10th Congressional District. Glad to see a progressive challenger to Dan Goldman.
  22. Do we even know that he did? Where was there a report that Penn State requested an interview with Cignetti?
  23. Lot's of coaches say they are going to be at a program for life or are there to stay for the long-term and then leave. If Sherrone doesn't end up working out Michigan would be stupid not to call Cignetti. If he says no and you can't buy him away from Indiana then you move on. But you absolutely have to extend the olive branch to a guy like that. It is my sincere hope that we never cross that bridge because Sherrone ends up working out. It seems unlikely, but I hope it happens. I'm willing to give Sherrone another full season and see what he can do with two solid recruiting classes. The two things he absolutely must do this offseason is get a QB coach/OC in who can help develop Underwood and bring in some talent at WR. If he can't get those things done, he's likely going to struggle again next year and be an 8-9 win team.
  24. If Lane Kiffin has taught us anything, it's that loyalty can be bought by the next highest bidder. The right dollar amount makes anyone go anywhere. Honor is as high as the last number on the check.
  25. Cignetti. And before you mention that contract he signed with Indiana, we all know that college football contracts aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Oh, Indiana is paying you $11 million, he's $15 million from Larry Ellison to come live in Ann Arbor.
