it would be a show of incredible hubris to think you can ignore one of the NFL's major talent infusion streams (free agency) and still build a SB winner the Chiefs and the Patriots routinely spent significant money in free agency during their SB runs nothing wrong to prioritizing your guys, but when you have gaping holes on your roster at CB and DE, it would be a huge mistake to not use free agency to make your team better

yes. they are allowed to do whatever they want. But, once 5 justices agree, Roberts can issue a decision. Dissents have been formally added months after decisions. Roberts will have a 7-2 vote against Trump right away. Roberts will write the decision, and I will say that he will wait as long as he can for Thomas and Alito to come around. That is a good faith reason for Roberts to wait a little bit of time, even if Thomas and Alito will act in bad faith by trying to delay as long as possible. Roberts really wants it to be 9-0, even if he ends up with 2 insane concurrences by Thomas and Alito.

They have glaring needs at DE and CB and somewhat less so at DT. They have the cap room to make more than one significant move. I would be happy with just one impact signing. It would be a mistake to not do so IMO.
