  1. For you @smr-nj
  2. Well obviously “Scotty boy” should have forced them to accept it.
  3. That’s what I was trying to convey on twitter. All these clowns bashing the deal based on these lists that are out there which don’t represent any of their own personal observations. These are just names on a screen or sheet of paper. Organizations have their own systems of valuation. We don’t know how the other teams valued Flaherty and we don’t know how the Tigers valued everybody else. These opinions are largely derived from things created back in February. Yet everybody is an expert because they see a Jim Bowden tweet.
  4. More likely Harris or someone else brushed off Evan so now he has to get even.
  5. I saw a tweet already expressing some progressives not liking it because… you know…/ he’s Jewish.
  6. Yeah I think Trump is big on image and being portrayed as “cool” and being made fun of is not going over well. And the bad press for Vance is eating at him. Trump has no principles and I know deep down despises these people, the evangelicals, and now he’s finding himself at their table in the school gym surrounded by everybody else. It’s been an evolution and since Harris took over a lot of people are now paying attention who weren’t before.
  7. But as long as they don’t have to vote for the black girl then their conscience is clear.
  8. dang it, I flubbed the line anyway. "Who own da chiefs?"
  9. This isn't weird.... this is some sick nazi ****
  10. If I were a manager I would just start pulling guys mid game to mess with everybody.
  11. Didn't realize tomorrow was an off day. Yeah they traditionally do day games on getaway.
  12. I must be in the minority because I really don't give a **** whether they trade Flaherty. There's something to be said to me for having a better team now than you would a year from now. This team is short on SP and it makes it more fun when the team can win and he makes it more likely they will win.
  13. I don't know what NPC is and I don't care enough to learn. I figure if that's your thing then you are probably weird too.
  14. If you use Apple Pay I would suggest using that to sign up for any type of subscriptions. It makes the cancelling process so much easier. If you go to Settings, then type in Subscriptions, it will tell you which ones you have, the next billing date, etc. If you want to cancel, you do it there. No annoying websites to log into, or forms to fill out, or chat bots to deal with. I once tried to cancel a Detroit News subscription and it was almost painful as cancelling Sirius. It's also nice to have it all in one spot to find.
  15. They do them on Thursdays, or on getaway days during the week when it's a Wednesday. Also if there's fireworks in Detroit.
  16. Why is this a day game?
  17. the Eduardo non trade has been analyzed more than the JFK assassination
  18. Headline in the Detroit News, but paywalled, that said a majority of Michigan voters, including Republicans, support SC term limits.
  19. especially since Harris was carrying out her job and following an established set of rules and policies... nobody made Trump get involved but hey... an opportunity to smear some black people... you don't have to ask twice for his help on that. That's fun to him.
  20. Generally speaking, not specific to the UAW or auto industry, and not even to unions.... but I've evolved to the point where I don't hold it against an employee for not going "all out". I can see doing it if you work for a smaller firm, maybe family run, where you might have more "ownership" or a relationship with the owners at least. But for a corporation that is accountable only to shareholders that treat employees like numbers... I don't see the benefit of an employee busting their ass at maximum capacity for their benefit because unless it's specifically spelled out they won't reward you. Especially when it comes to physical jobs. That kind of work wears on you over time. When you are 50 and have arthritis in your hands and a bad back.... they're not going to remember you. They aren't paying you more than they said they would so don't give them more than what they expect of you. Save the over work for when you are volunteering your time for other things like kids events, church functions, etc. That's when it's needed.
  21. JD is the guy who in middle school you wouldn't want to be left alone with young girls or pets.
  22. They're weird
  23. I think 18 years is too short. I would go with 24. That gets you through 3 maximum presidencies, something we only saw twice in history. (Jefferson, Madison, Monroe and Clinton, Bush, Obama). I think you keep the spirit of a lifetime appointment. It would have affected these recent justices. Breyer, Ginsberg, Thomas, Rehnquist, Scalia, Stevens.
  24. I tried to go to a Tampa Tarpons game last week but it was rained out.
