Agree. I like them all and because of that can watch any time. I throw an episode on while I work as background noise. The only one I didn’t care as much for as the others was other one on Apollo 13 but I understand why they did it that way. They just made a movie so recreating that would be silly. But given they changed it to focus from the media side and they made up the two media guys… then it’s not that interesting to me. One cool thing about the final episode was they had a brief scene with the guy who played Deke in Apollo 13 in a shot with the guy playing him in the series.

I watch an episode at least once a month. My favorites were the one covering Apollo 9 and the development of the LM (Spider), Apollo 12 and their friendship, and Apollo 15 with the work on science and geology.

Yeah I saw another story on it. The book it is based on covered the class Ride was on. It was picked especially for diversity. There’s a challenger series on Netflix now and in it they show Cronkite’s broadcast announcing the new group. Paraphrasing the numbers he says “among them are 2 blacks, a woman, and an oriental” given who is involved this one sounds great. The best space show ever is HBO’s From the Earth to the Moon. That set the stage for Band of Brothers and John Adams and the Pacific. Showed HBO that model could work.

Sally Ride wasn’t on Challenger. She did die but in 2012. First US female and the youngest at age 32. Christa McCauliffe was the teacher on challenger. Is that who she is playing or is it Ride?

What difference does it make what we think or feel? Front Offices don't react to fans whining on the internet. I'm not going to NOT go to a game because a guy didn't make some trades I thought he should have. I go to games to have fun and spend time with family and friends and enjoy it. Winning makes it fun, and stressful, but I don't let a lack of it ruin my day or evening. Their wins don't pay my mortgage so it doesn't really affect me one way or another.

Randy Smith claimed he had deals for Bernie Williams and Mariano Rivera.
-
real life is not a video game. When has he or anyone suggested that trades and FA signings won't happen. Just because they don't happen on your timeline doesn't mean the process is flawed. It's ****ing June 7 and the team is over .500 and everybody here acts like it's the 2003 Tigers.
-
maybe he is looking into those guys and can't make a deal. POint is, he doesn't hold a press conference and announce his actions on trades not made. You guys are criticizing him for something that you only suspect isn't happening, without any proof. You have created this make believe caricature of Scott Harris.
-
It doesn't pass the smell test that someone would take a POBO and be gunshy or afraid to fail. Fans just have to see a conspiracy somewhere. Maybe the possible trades are ones he didn't think improved the org.
-
I don't know the process in FL of certification but if Biden were to win a close race I struggle to see some GOP people just going "Ok, cool." then rubber stamp the results. I can envision election offices being raided and ballots spoiled for any recount then we get a crisis.
-
the lack of those trades being made is what shoots it down. Scott isn't doing what you propose because other organizations dont want to. Think about what you are suggesting. Trades aren't being made. The possible reasons for that: 1) Scott doesn't want to. That assumes he took this job and the org made all these hires in the front office and change in staff but he's just being stubborn and doesn't want to improve the team in some sinister plot to make the team suffer because that looks great on a resume. 2) He's stupid and doesn't know how to do it 3) The teams are not seeing a fit in potential trade offers.
-
and i'm arguing our system doesn't have enough of what other teams need to justify making that deal. Who in the system are you willing to sacrifice and what do you think they would net in return?
-
yes they are allowed but when the other side is just as smart or smarter then they can be more difficult. I don't buy a magic bullet theory where Scott and his team have the ability to find a gem that other orgs don't know about. Most of the orgs are pretty smart, except Chicago. That's not a criticism but when you say AA wasn't a good GM and then use his trades where he sent over a good young player as proof that your new GM can acquire good players at any time..... that's kind of a contradiction unless Al Avila got a new job somewhere and you can snooker him.
-
The parts in bold relate to each other.... Tampa got Paredes from us because Avila wasn't good at trades.
-
Then in 6 years when their life stinks they'll say "Both sides are the same..."
-
DeSantis and his cronies will play dirty trying to prevent any unfavorable results from becoming official. That's what worries me the most in this election cycle. Too many times in the process things get certified by previously anonymous civil servants and at some point that machine will break and we'll see challenges, unfounded, and bad actors.
-
That's great.
-
I think other teams are pretty smart too and have also gotten better at evaluating prospects over the last 15 years especially, which makes the prospect for ML talent deals rarer, maybe I'm wrong but I don't think we see them as often today as we used to. I reject that they can acquire a good young player at will as you suggest. The other team has to be willing to give that player to the Tigers and the only reason they'd do so is if the Tigers had something to offer to make them want to do that. And if the Tigers had something to offer then why are they making the deal? It takes two orgs to agree on a trade and overall fans think their own teams have the upper hand and can make trades like it's a video game. Who in the system should the Tigers have moved to get a good player?
-
Is the help they are getting the result of “socialism”?
-
I’m still haven’t been convinced by anyone the last year or so who exactly Harris should have signed or traded for (and with that?). There isn’t a GM store with items you need. You can’t trade a lot of crap for something mediocre.

Adduci runs the commisioner's office. He has things worked out just the way he wants. All these legit companies are just props for his real action.

High qualty players like Phil Mickelson, Jordan, and Tiger Woods get a high from gambling that is probably the same trigger that made them so good what they do. It's not difficult to imagine some MLB players having the same thing. It's just a matter of time.
