It was the year they put in McGriff. I dont know if they will put those guys back on or try for others to get a chance. It's the "contemporary" era ballot. Do they figure "Ok, you had your chance. Time for someone else to be considered".

This is a bad week in history for NASA as the Apollo 1, Challenger, and Columbia incidents occurred during this window. Today is NASA's Day of Remembrance for fallen Astronauts. It includes tributes to those who died prematurely, not just in a spacecraft. Several died in plane accidents. 2 of them (See and Bassett) were the crew of Gemini 9 and they crashed into the building in St. Louis where their spacecraft was being built. Their backup crew was right behind them and they safely landed after making a turn to try again b/c of weather. when they landed they didn't know what happened. People ran up to them asking "Which ones are you?" because they didn't know yet who the victims were. At that time Astronauts flew T-38 jets all over the country instead of commercial to save time and money in addition to staying sharp with flying time.

You just have to put yourself in the mindset of a bigoted person who complains about "woke" and figure out what they think is "woke" and if the research can be deemed "woke" then it won't be given funding. So if it helps minorities or foreigners...

I thought you couldn't delete Threads without deleting your IG account? Threads reminds me of reddit in a way. When a thread is good, it's really good. But a lot of clickbait and engagement trolls. And they think I really really really like Brie Larson. I mean, I do... but I don't need to see the same photo of her every day.

If you know your family is going to be targeted by crazy people who will be in power and they will have to spend money on lawyers, etc. and you had the ability to put an end to it.... you would do it. I would do it. What's unprecedented is the direct threats and targeting of a political rivals family with zero evidence to support it. He was put in that position. if a guy is standing in front of me and threatening to kill me and I finally punch him in the face, am I wrong for punching him in the face or do I have to wait until he makes a move?

Supposedly Trump left him a letter in 2021 but I haven't seen anything referencing the text. The best one of these ever done was George HW Bush to Bill Clinton. That was a nasty campaign and the grace in that letter showed real decency.

The most famous pardon in history was a "pre pardon". These aren't new. And as if Trump needed someone to open a door for his fat ass to do something unprecedented.
