  1. some, including him, could also pull a Frankie Five Angels.
  2. If these cretins ever have to do a perp walk I expect LIndsey to be the one to pull a Jim Bakker and sob while in cuffs and being led away.
  3. THIS WOKE BULLSHIT!
  4. That's all good news and I hope it holds up. I really do.
  5. Nothing to back it up with other than the idea that this could just be people deciding after covid that they like early voting. That this is just a pull ahead of what were traditional same day votes and given the idiocy in our electorate R's think early voting is "weak" and "not secure" so they aren't doing it to the same rate as D's. Trends before covid as it relates to voting behavior, not their preferences, might be an apples and oranges situation. Of course there's the Roe effect too to consider so who knows.
  6. WHo was the longtime WSox pitching coach? Wasn't he well thought of around the league? Did he go somewhere else?
  7. isn't it kind of a moot point anyway? So what if they do get them? That just means some people saw them. They won't be released publicly and nothing of substance will happen if the R's take the house.
  8. doesn't it come down to how much they think the poor performance was due to the ability of the coaching/front office staff to provide the support a player needs beyond their own ability? They made some changes to the staffs so they saw a deficiency. If they see a connection then they'll consider keeping them. If they feel confident they can upgrade then they'll do that, or a mixture of both.
  9. Here’s a name I haven’t heard in probably 20 years.
  10. that's odd because I thought Trunk or Treats originated at churches. Keep them in house and proper... do demon costumes. Harry Potter, maybe.... but be careful That's borderline witchcraft.
  11. Mess things up intentionally then when the Democrats complain throw out the "See both sides can't accept election results" card. Then the real overturning can be classified as a "both sides" thing.
  12. the old adage... if the service you use is free the you are not the customer but the product being sold. Subscriber models have to be priced pretty low in my opinion. I throw some money to Patreons because I like their service but $1 to $2 a month is something I can look past. But get to the $4-5 range and I will question it.
  13. Twitter has content generated for it. Charge the generators? To be fair Twitter is providing the platform to get that content out there. Nobody's reading and paying $5 a month for Joe Blow's Substack unless they see the tweet promoting it. I dont know how this will shake out.
  14. The app I use has a 45 second skip forward. Greatest thing ever. Even the big podcasts do that. I like interview podcasts and Smartless is great for getting right to it. Conan's will have banter. Marc Maron will spend about 7 minutes in "therapy" telling us how he feels...
  15. Musk is going to charge $20 a month to have a blue checkmark. I suspect the only ones who will pay are accounts managed for the super rich who don’t even use it the way we do. Someone like Taylor Swift. People like that. Your real content creator like a writer pushing an article in a newspaper. won’t pay. They will just trust the reader. Or maybe the paper or org will pay it the original intent was to verify identity. Not to ensure legitimacy of the opinion or that you were famous enough.
  16. The fact this thread exploded just shows how warped our reality has become. The Clinton murder cult. Fake moon landings. Pizza parlor sex orgies of whatever it was. 9/11 inside jobs. People will believe anything. Maybe it was an alien who did it. I mean… you don’t know it wasn’t. Until you can prove it wasn’t then I am as right as you are. That’s our logic today.
  17. I feel extremely confident it wasn’t due to insider trading. its nuts to go to such great lengths to avoid the most likely scenario when it’s right in front of your fucking face simply because you don’t like the victim. That’s some Tucker Carlson shit.
  18. Yeah but “many people were saying”….
  19. Jim Edmunds.
  20. It is easier as an OF to slide vs dive because you can still smother it. Also less of an injury risk. I saved runs on a play in high school that way. Lefty up hit one about 15 feet behind 3B. I had little chance of catching it but I threw my body at it and kept the play on front of me.
  21. Dallas had a crime problem in November 1963.
  22. That's why I use twitter and this site.... I can watch the games and listen just like anyone. I played baseball so I like to think I know a little bit but nothing special. I never ever claim to be an expert. But I know who I like to listen to and which opinions and insights mean something to me so I like to hear their takes. And I appreciate the extra level of analysis some will go to with regard to the advance numbers or observations. Why try to reinvent the wheel?
  23. I think people like having that on in the background because it makes others thing they are smart. I've said before I also think it's all bullshit. I listen to people when I'm at a party or gathering and all they do is hold their wine glass and regurgitate what they heard or read that morning. No real insight. By the time any regular person notices something the move has already been made and you are too late. It's just a form of gambling for people. I lurk in here because people smarter than me give feedback and it is interesting to see.
