  1. right. He could perform an abortion on live TV of a 14 year old girl he impregnated and his cult will slut shame her.
  2. The problem is too many of the voters, while claiming they don't like the crazies, will still vote for them because the D is a "socialist" or something.
  3. When the cubs won in 2016 I was happy for my friends who were big fans. I felt an affinity to them b/c of WGN. 1989 was the last summer I couldn’t drive. I turned 16 that October. I was at that point in my life where I went out later in the day so I spent most days watching them. We had lights at wrigley but not many night games. When they won the division it was fun. I felt a part of it. Being born in 73 I came of age with rhe 84 team. It seemed so easy. You watch the team and they become good and win. Sports is fun. Then the pistons were good. Wings teetered but were still disappointing. But by the time I was 25 I saw all 3 teams I care about win 5 titles.
  4. They will and nobody on the right will change their minds or opinions. Consistency and common sense are not a requirement to court GOP voters. They can use the anger to fundraiser and enrage the voters into voting. Drag it out.
  5. It'll be like the Roe V Wade SC "leaker". Crickets. Trump got his few days of fundraising out of it. By next week RW media won't be talking about this anymore.
  6. Regarding the trades.... it's also possible teams got wise and are reluctant to move prospects for middle of the run players. I'm saying that without knowing much about the deals that did go on at the deadline. Seems to me that our "pieces" are the kinds of players good teams have a lot of and can do on their own without risking a prospect.
  7. "We need to trade Travis Fryman, can't afford to pay that much for a 3rd baseman" next off season "Let's sign Dean Palmer" Randy Smith traded both Travis Fryman and Cecil Fielder for Matt Drews.
  8. When people who are ticket holders today are not renewing for next year… that’s a problem. That’s my point. They are seeing something.
  9. Season ticket sales are the life blood of an org. I’m not saying I am special b/c I only have a 28 game package but I know personally of non renewals covering about 100 tickets between personal friends and companies I am involved with. 5 years ago I had 14 regulars around me. That’s down to 4. When I exchange my unused tickets for another game I get my same seats, which means there’s nobody in a Saturday or Sunday package with them. (A lot of seats are split 3 ways). I am not saying it should be the only reason but all you have to do is look at the record and if the financials are dropping then it’s time to move. Now Chris has another selling point.
  10. Worth noting that it’s ticket renewal time. I wouldn’t be shocked if some strong feedback was given by current customers. My “executive” happened to call me today to check in and ask when the next game I would be at.
  11. seems a silly qualifier. As noted in the replies Gabe Kapler was in the 57th round but he was drafted as a 3B. It's neat trivia and something you an mention at the game to the person next to you but that's it.
  12. and still get their pension. Then they move a few hundred miles away and get another job on the force. Bam. Two pensions.
  13. The SC Justice safety thing was just the groundwork so they can "both sides" and "whatabout" this thing in the future.
  14. I think we're at another critical moment in our nation's history where the GOP is slowly mainstreaming political violence. At some point there's going to be an assassination of a politician or journalist or judge and people like Hawley and Cruz will just write it off as no big deal. Then that will reach political opponents and citizens. We've seen a bit of that with BLM and Rittenhouse. Soon it will be a smaller demonstration and a guy who drive by, shoot an abortion doctor or woman who had an abortion, and he'll get off with a hung jury because their Bible and faith will them it's ok to shoot a baby murderer, which is the logical extension of claiming that abortion is murder and that a fetus is a baby. Our nation is morphing into those that we started wars with in 2001 and 2003.
  15. Seems like every week Rolling Stone comes out with a huge if true story and it goes nowhere. (I know I said that the last time)
  16. This reminds me a little bit of the 1960 election and JFK talking of the "missile gap". There was no gap. He knew it once he became the candidate and got intelligence briefings. But he kept saying it knowing that Nixon couldn't refute him without disclosing classified briefings. The DOJ is following their process to not comment. Everything we know about this comes from the target.
  17. They reflexively say it so often that they don't realize how dumb it really sounds. "Uh... yeah... that's the point. Nobody is above the law. That's how it is supposed to work"
  18. Wasn't the judge a Trump appointee? I thought I read that yesterday. what kind of President appoints Epstein linked judges?
  19. The title of the series finale is "Saul Gone"
  20. Yep. Quit trying to figure it out. Myself included. They will do it better.
  21. Think about how different this Vince Gilligan universe would be if Howard didn’t go to Jimmy and Kim’s apartment? Would Jimmy have gone full Saul? I think post Kim is when he broke hard. Evil. Would Gus and Mike ever gotten to Walt if not for Saul? on the old site I said that the Saul transformation reminded me of Anakin and Vader. Star Wars 4-6 was the story of Luke. When you put 1-3 in there with the prequels it gives 4-6 a different meaning. It’s Anakin’s story. With BCS we are seeing Jimmy was the catalyst for it all and it happened when Lalo shot Howard.
  22. If he’s got stuff there he’s not supposed to have… what is there to “prove”? What’s this “slam dunk” talk?
