Glad I traded my tickets Friday for tomorrows game.

I think so too... get out of the "eat before the game" mode. Fridays they market as "party in the park" with discounted food and drinks before hand via a "happy hour". Saturday and Sunday are either day games or night games for TV so 6:40 doesn't apply. But with the pitch clock the idea of getting out too late is gone now. I understood when the games were 30 minutes longer.

THis year they moved the summer Friday games to 7:10. Midweek still 6:40. Which I still hate. It's fine for April and September when it's colder and kids are in school so you want them home. But a "night out" at the game shouldn't be over at 9:15 on a random Tuesday in July.

I love Napoloean Dynamite because it's the first movie that my son (now 24) and I both laughed at together. It wasn't just me giving cute courtesy laughs at kids movies.

A lot of movies on this list I find hilarious and have watched many times but only for the first 30-45 minutes. Even some of my all time favorites like a Cohen Bros movie.

If you watched Better Call Saul someone on Reddit said that they should make a joke movie with the you who played Lalo. But you base it around the Cesar Romero version. my other issue with the Nolan films, which is my fault, is I didn’t understand the concept of rebooting comic book franchises. So I was expecting some kind of continuation of the movies we saw with Keaton and Clooney and Kilmer.

I'm a fan of his work and can respect his art... I just didn't get those movies. They were wonderfully made and top notch cinema. But I wasn't entertained as much. Felt no need to watch them again. I blame them for not getting into Marvel until about 5 years ago, I figured I didn't like these kinds of movies, other than Star Wars. I'm not criticizing them because it's ok for people to have different tastes in life. They didn't do it for me but I know most people love them. That's ok.

The story of Batman is great. It was in the works for about 5 years until they got Burton. They originally had the Superman writer, then talked about Ivan Reitman. Names like Mel Gibson and Bill Murray were thrown out and considered. Robin was going to be in it, played by names like Michael J Fox or Eddie Murphy. Lithgow as joker. That stalled so they turned it over to Tim Burton who only wanted Michael Keaton. It was the right choice and he remains the best Batman.

My old neighbor had a good setup in FL. He got a double wide in a 55 and over community with it's own lake and golf course. It wasn't expensive at all. He didn't keep anything there he'd miss if there was a storm. And the neighbors looked after it for him in exhcange for letting them use it for guests to visit. But that was also 15 years ago so who knows what it's like now. I thought we'd get some land given to us in TN but I guess that uncle told everyone that.... and the girlfriend/wife got it, has it, etc. But all of my people there are almost gone.

Part of the appeal for those guys is also the fact that they live here full time so they are part of the community. Especially hockey players as their off season is the summer so where else would you rather be? And Darren's basically a local anyway. Goff could attain that too but today's athletes make so much more money than they did even 25 years ago that I doubt he sticks around when his playing days are over so the connection is gone. For example, Miggy just listed the house he owned in Grosse Point Farms for sale. He doesn't need it. But the old Tigers and Red Wings needed jobs after they were done so they got hooked up as sales reps and all of that with local companies and stuck around, like a Dan Petry. But a guy like Riley Greene isn't going to live here in January and February. Would you?
