At this point, if they haven’t played, zero reason to play them for the 3rd game. Just get to week 1 as healthy as possible and get after it. 2 weeks from tomorrow is opening night. They could be looking at OT, pretty much every one they have now beyond Decker and Sewell is replacement level. At WR there are still a few free agents unsigned including Kenny Galaday lol. I personally like the call but it’s going against what most of the league is doing. I expect they come out sharp at KC and it becomes another case of Brad and Dan pressing the right button. But I hate the idea of being faced with a late 4th & 10 on the opposing 40 in the Divisional Round of the playoffs with the score tied and having to either punt or go for it. I can’t imagine they would go with a guy who has zero live action NFL kicks, but you never know. If there is another field goal situation today, it will be telling whether they tap Romo to see what he’s got or Patterson to “get back in there”.
