Tigeraholic1 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Comerica Park - Detroit, MI Games Time Forecast: 54 Rain Listen: 97.1 The Ticket Watch: Bally Sports Detroit Starters: RHP Pablo Lopez LHP Tarik Skubal Quote
chasfh Posted April 11 Posted April 11 It doesn’t much look like they’re gonna get tonight’s game in, and they don’t have a workable common off day until September 23 (unless Thursday after All-Star Game is on the table), so they may have to play a doubleheader. That would make seven games against our key division rival in the next ten days. This might set the tone for the whole season, right here. Quote
casimir Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Good thing tomorrow is a night game. Looks like the rain lasts throughout today and into the earlier part of tomorrow. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Will the Tigers do the right thing and just call this already or will the sucker a few hundred into coming in and spending money on food & beverage? Quote
Shades of Deivi Cruz Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) Rained out. Straight DH on Sat. Edited April 11 by Shades of Deivi Cruz Quote

casimir Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Do the Tigers have any bats from good hitters of the past? Especially from the early to mid 90s like Whitaker, Trammell, Fryman, Phillips, Tettleton? Chop a couple up into seed like sizes and plant them. Maybe with the rain and some sunshine later on they'll be harvestable in a couple of months. Quote
LongLiveMaroth Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I mean it's good that the bullpen gets two off days but 2 days of no baseball in no bueno. Quote

And honestly, two games in one day feels like too much. It's not because I don't have six hours I can devote to it, but rather, there are other things I like to do with my day as well. 1 Quote

Especially a weekend day, I am happy when it is a work day that I can have it on in the background while I work and then get some extra baseball after I clock out. Quote

They didn't change the ball very often. They could play an entire inning with one ball. These modern days players are so spoiled...😁 Quote

But if they wanna win the division, they have to win these games. Time to put up or shut up. Quote
LongLiveMaroth Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Doubt it gets played but this is the free game of the day for MiLB: Quote

My driveway is dry, I'm sure a well maintained baseball field has excellent drainage. This game was called too early. They didn't even try to play... Quote
theroundsquare Posted April 11 Posted April 11 really? it's been steady raining or at least drizzly here around 15 & Woodward Quote

Weather forecasts are very unreliable and they could have played today. The game was called too soon. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) Toledo now also with a Doubleheader Saturday. LOL - Will Toledo call up a pitcher from Erie while Det calls up a pitcher from Toledo (which we assume will be Manning...) Edited April 11 by gehringer_2 Quote
